What kills lizards and keep them away?

Baby lizards like to sit near my apartment. They either live in the pine needles that the landscapers keep putting out or the cheap plastic material that makes up the outside wall of my apartment. There's one outside now who leaves for a minute or 2 and comes back to the same spot. There was another one, somewhat big, that would sit by my door but stare at my neighbors door. I think the exterminator killed that one

Why am I not allowed to build a gigaton nuke in my backyard, can the HOA really stop me?

The neighbors would be allowed to build the same in their yard too.  There is the rub.

Do you think a British flat which accommodates a gas oven will also have the wiring in point for an electric oven?

    Favourite answer:

im a builder ..uk have seen many properties with both ..however the cable is normally connected to its own MCB   circuit breaker ...but you can now buy ovens that have a 13amp plug on them ..so its an easier fix ..most kitchen worktops have a socket nearby

Is having insects in your home a huge issue?

I used to live with my aunt and uncle and cousin for 3 months out of every year and they would sometimes get bugs in their home because their house was nestled in by tons of trees and green grass and rock and they had a sun deck - Like I used to swim in their small sized pool and every morning I would force my cousin to spend 1-2 hours collecting the dead wasps and bees in the pool and throw them out before I began my daily swim routine - I didn’t care about the bugs cause they never bothered you

But in my home when I see insects it bothers me cause I’m afraid they will multiply or crawl on my body

How can I fit this hose adaptor to my garden tap? ?

    Favourite answer:

The brass piece on the faucet (ribbed) should be removed. That is a piece that should be connected to a hose.

Then, flip the piece in your hand over. That connects to the faucet threads.

Then, you get quick-connect/disconnect adapters for existing hoses or new hoses with the quick connect/disconnect part built-in.

    Search "hose quick connect".

Chocolate in my sink is attracting alot of ants, and i think the ants bite my hand. solutions? ?

    Favourite answer:

Clean the dishes immediately to deprive the ants of food, and yes some species of ants bite and fire ants can kill a pet or a trapped human.  But now that they think your kitchen is a source of food, once the chocolate is gone they will come exploring for something else to eat.  You are going to need to put out baits and possibly poisons and then change your house keeping routines to be spotless. If that doesn't work call an exterminator.

Would sprinkling salt on a fire ant mound kill the ants economically and effectively?

    Favourite answer:

I used vinegar and then soak deep with boiling water.  The ants are then gone forever.  Even the boiling water alone is pretty effective.

Homeowner is selling home and has a pending lawsuit against a former property manager: anything the HOA can do?

I am a board member of a homeowners association.

One homeowner is in the process of selling his home.  The sale should be in a month.

The homeowner also caught a former property manager doing some things.  The former property manager resigned.  Now the homeowner has threatened a lawsuit against the former property manager, both for damages that the former property manager caused to the association and for damages that the former property manager caused to the homeowner.

The former property manager's property management agreement with the association requires the association to cover any losses that the property manager suffers while working for the association, except things that are the property manager's fault.

Question: Some board members want to stop this lawsuit by blocking the sale of the home until the owner agrees to drop the lawsuit. Our association's lawyer says that we should put a lien on the home until the owner drops the lawsuit.  The owner hasn't violated any rules and is fully paid up for all dues, so the lawyer says to just make something up and put the lien on.

What can we, as a homeowners' association, do to stop this lawsuit?  We don't want to get dragged into it.

    Cucumbers:  Yay or Nay? ?

    Favourite answer:

definitely  Hell YAY!   The best thing I grow in my garden , by far.   Both my son and I love them,  but a lot of people say they don't agree with them-

Nothing better than Garden Fresh cukes!  You'll never buy another one from the supermarket ....which are usually frozen and then thawed when shipped.
