Can I play volleyball if I’m short?
Favourite answer:Your actual skills, dedication, dependability, how well you respond to coaching, whether you’re a team player, whether you bring a positive attitude all matter far more then your height.
So sure you can play volleyball. Libero, defensive specialist, setter, serving specialist are all different positions where height is less important.

Should I play basketball or volleyball or both?
I've always really liked basketball, because I'm a good runner and a good athlete. I can also jump pretty high. But now, all of my friends have switched over to volleyball, which I'm not as good at. I know that I could improve with practice and time, but should I put in that effort? I don't hate volleyball, I actually think it's pretty interesting, btw.

I want to do play high school volleyball next year. Will I be able to wear leggings instead of spandex during games for religious reasons?
Favourite answer:You should check with the athletic department at your school, but it shouldn’t be a problem. I
know that on my daughter’s freshmen volleyball team one girl wore leggings and a hijab. She had no problems playing.

Is it bad for me to practice two different sports?
I'm 15, and I love practicing basketball, I practice it regularly and don't inted to stop. But, I really wanna start practicing volleyball as well...my mom won't let me cus she says it's bad for me and that I should focus on only one sport, but I think I could handle it. (I'd practice basketball for 2-3 days a week and volleyball twice a week)

How do I get my parents to let me quit volleyball?
The only sport I play is volleyball. I used to do track but I decided I didn’t like it and when I wanted to quit my parents were really against it and weren’t supportive at all. I’m athletic and I know I am but I just don’t enjoy playing sports at all. I dread going to go play. My parents won’t let my quit playing vb but I really want to. How do I get them to let me quit?

Is 15 too late to start volleyball?
Technically, it’s never too late to start sports, but what I mean is: is 15 too late to start playing volleyball and make it onto a team?
In 8th grade, I was on my elementary school volleyball team. Since it was elementary school, nobody was given any real positions or anything, but I guess I played the setter mostly? (I wasn’t tall enough to spike, and I wasn’t skilled enough to dive for the ball either, so I usually got second ball).
In grade 9 (this year) I didn’t try out for the volleyball team because I knew I wasn’t good enough to make the team, and I can’t overhand serve yet.
Next year, I want to make the junior volleyball team (grade 9’s and 10’s) and hopefully play either setter or libero.
Since I don’t really have any experience, is it too late to start?

I want to start volleyball at 15 but i'm always away on vacation during tryouts?
So i'm going into 11th grade next year and I did volleyball in 8th grade but I haven't been able to try out since because I always go on vacation during the time tryouts start. It's so stupid that tryouts are during SUMMER VACATION instead of the beginning of fall.

Do players have to switch to their "positions" In a 4-2 VB rotation?
I am running a 4-2 for my vb team that is full of 11 year Olds. I have heard that switching to their spots isn't necessary while in a 4-2. So the only ones that need to switch is the setter that is in front row?

Can I wear leggings to a volleyball game?
I want to try out for volleyball soon for the first time, but I would rather not wear the short spandex shorts I am supposed to. They are against my religion. Am I allowed to wear leggings?
