Does anybody else think Paul Westerberg was snubbed for an Oscar Last Year?
The soundtrack for the animated film Open Season has one of the most beautiful songs written for a film in a long time. It's called Whisper Me Luck. It is completely devoid of all sense of sentimentality but has a really nice sense of angst and character. Why wasn't this song nominated, it is certainly better than most of the songs that were nominated, so why not? Why do songs like WML continue to lose to stuff like "An Inconvient Truth" (a well made song but not very good in craft) or "It's hard out here for a pimp"?
