It is all over the news that a JFK airport air traffic controller let his two children speak to pilots giving them directions for take-off.

Federal authorities are calling it the most outrageous breech of responsibility they've ever seen while the media pretty much seems to agree.

I kind of disagree. While it was certainly wrong, the kids, apparently did this just once each, as I understand it, on separate days, gave clear and concise, accurate information and were being closely watched and coached so as not to screw up. While I wouldn't want this repeated, I think the dad was not going to let anything dangerous happen, and probably should get suspended without pay for a few days or something, but not lose his job.

If someone was really put in danger, I would feel differently, but I think maybe people are overreacting in this specific case. But, what do you think?

Why does a guy who asks for donations to his defense fund in the name of free speech provide a form on his website to accept credit card donations but no contact link to send him or his staff a letter, an e-mail or a phone call? There isn't even a listing of the stations that carry him. I just find it ludicrous that he hangs-up and rants a name-calling tirade against anyone who calls to disagree with him and offers no contact into, yet expects us to protect his right to free speech. My opinion. What's yours?
