Pat
Well I'm Pat. If you look through my answers you will quickly find out that I am a Christian. Feel free to email me if you have thoughts or questions about my answers. However, if you are going to insult me or anything like that, save yourself the time and energy. I am always open to learning new things which is part of why I spend hours and hours on here. But keep in mind, just because I learn something, especially in the area of religion verses atheism, doesn't mean that I will accept it as fact or even believe it to be true. But given the natural reasoning skills that I, like all of us, have, I should be able to come to a reasonable conclusion on the subject.
96 Dodge Grand Caravan shaking?
My '96 dodge grand caravan has been shaking when accelerating for a few months now. It only happens when I am accelerating, but not when I am coasting. It still shakes a little bit when I am just maintaining a consistent speed but not nearly as much.
The shaking usually does not start until about 35 mph. The faster I accelerate, the more it shakes (but this is not always the case). Once I get to about 60 mph, there will be no shaking when maintaining a consistent speed and very little when accelerating.
Any ideas what this could be (the transmission has already been looked at) and it was determined that was not the cause)?

Is this the beginning of a recession or of a crash?
I knew that recessions were supposed to be bad but never imagined something like what is happening.
6 AnswersEconomics1 decade agowindows live messenger help?
ok, after searching for what seems like hours to a solution to my problem to no avail, I thought that I might as well ask here.
My friend is using windows live messenger 8.1 (she was using the newer one but that caused to many problems...) on windows XP. Anytime she tried to log in, a window comes up and says "bad configuration with the DSN." Occasionally she can log in but then she gets logged out right after that.
does anyone have any clue as to what this means or how I can go about trying to fix it.
And please do not suggest that I try to get helps from windows. I have tried and it has only succeeded in giving me a massive headache.

5 AnswersEconomics1 decade agoDo you see anyway for the problems in Haiti to be solved?
With a growing food crisis, powered by bureaucratic red tape keeping foreign aid form getting into the people who need it and an agricultural industry that cannot even sustain itself. Add that to the seemingly constant barrage of tropical systems that ruins crops before the harvest.
And not to mention the constant lose of life and property from those storms.
These, along with poor health care and education are feeding poverty in the country and it seems that anytime steps are made in the right direction, they take 3 steps back. Do you see anyway for the problems facing Haiti to be solved? If so, how?
2 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoFellow Christians, how do you define God?
How do you see God in your mind? Feel free to be as detailed or as vague as you'd like, although i would prefer more details :)
Atheist, if you have to, you can jump in and say that He is fictional and the Jesus never existed, but lets face it, we Christians already know how you feel so there is no real point to you posting it here aside from the two points.

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI need some advice...?
So I am very good friends with a girl that I have liked for a year and a half, but the timing has never been right. She knew at one point in the past that I liked her and I am fairly certain that she had (or possibly still has) feelings for me.
But recently I feel like I'm falling harder and harder for me cause I've been seeing her more. She is dating another guy right now. And I have also heard her say that if a guy likes her, she would just want him to come out and tell her, regardless of whether or not she is dating someone else.
Part of me thinks that I should tell her how I feel just to get it out there in the open (even though she may know already because I am a natural flirt). But then the other part of me thinks that I should wait until she is single again to tell her (that is, of course, assuming that she and the other guy break up). I worry about telling her now because I don't know what it would do to our friendship. She isn't exactly the type of girl who would stop being friends with me because I like her when she doesn't. But I can't help but worry about it.
What do you think I should do, tell her now or wait?

Which team will not make it, the Red Sox, Yankees, or both? Why do you think that? And if neither team will make it, who will instead?

20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAnyone think that the O's would do this?
Honestly, who at the start of the season, thought that the Orioles even stood a chance at being a .500 team, let alone be 3 games above .500 in June after taking a series from the best team in baseball?
I sure as heck didn't, and I'm an O's fan.
8 AnswersBaseball1 decade agoCan I sue for emotional distress?
So a few weeks a go at work (I am a waiter), I accidently put a tip on the wrong check and overchared a man by 30 dollars. A few days after that, he called and said that I was stealing from him and that he wanted to press charges against me.
After figuring out that it was a mistake and i just hit the wrong thing on the computer when putting the tip in, my manager told me not to worry about it. So he tells the guy this but the guy still doesn't seem happy.
Then yesterday, the police called looking for me about this. My manager took care of it and told them it was a mistake and all that.
The guy was fully refunded for his meal (and the tip that shouldnt have been there). My managers have told him that is was a mistake (and it was). He really has no case against me but he keeps pushing the issue.
If he doesn't let up, would I have a case against him for emotional distress? Its getting old and I've been really stressed about it since it happened.
