This is criminal for V W to manipulate the on-board computer to give false readings. In my opinion the Germans knew what they were doing --- they got caught --- the cars that are in the USA should be bought back at full price and shipped or crushed ... Those car buyers thought they were buying a vehicle that had true specs ___ instead they were cheated, lied to, a case of fraud, EPA laws falsified, MPG's false, deceit, and all in the name of V W profits .... The V W diesel should be banned from the USA..... What do you think ???

Seems clear to me that V W diesel motors are in violation of the EPA and the USA has been duped, cheated, and fraud is true . The V W diesel has FORTY [40] times the emissions allowable by law ... V W should be banned from selling any diesel motor and they should be compelled to buy back all of those high emission fraud computered cars. What do you think ????

I do not understand how to open the area of the ashtray to install new lamp == it looks to be that the plastic dress plate needs to be popped out and since it is a '99 I am reluctant to try to move that plastic without some professional advice == is it possible to access this area from removal of the glove box ?? The sound system says that it is working but I cannot hear voice or music. Have looked at the control panel and it is not on mute. About a year ago I had to download another sound manager like SOUND MAX from TOshiba for the Windows XP and that did the trick .... any suggestions for this antique L-top to get it working again.
