I am making small breads to give out to my neighbors....thinking pumpkin bread, banana nut bread and eggnog bread.  Any other suggestions for good bread recipes for holiday gifting?

So, I have a 5 month old puppy, ovee 40 pounds, who constantly pulls ahead of me while on walks. What kind of collar can I get that will teach him not to pull? Currently using a soft mesh harness.

I am curious. Recently near where I live, the local sheriff's shot a man with a non-lethal bean bag because he had "barricaded" himself in his home. The news article doesn't state the reason the Sheriff department was called, nor does it define "barricaded". So I am curious, does locking your door and refusing to open it for law enforcement constitute barricading the door - or does barricading require you to actually move furniture, etc. in front of the door to prevent it being opened?

The blll would also make it against California law for Christian colleges to require bible courses for graduation and make faith based teaching in the classroom illegal. It has passed the assembly.

Students are not forced to attend a Christian college, it is a choice.

I am just looking for new ideas for what to serve on Thanksgiving. So, what's your most interesting or unusual Thanksgiving food (recipe is a plus).

I'm going to be in Ventura on my birthday and want to go out to dinner to a really great seafood restaurant. Doesn't need to be formal, just fresh and varied seafood and fish. Sushi, sashimi, cooked or uncooked, fish, clams, crab, shrimp, abalone - I love it all. If they take reservations, that's a plus since it's on a Friday night.

We are planning to fish and maybe kayak. We would like great lake views from a balcony or patio, the ability to cook and some peace and quiet. Suggestions for where to stay (please be as specific as possible). We are in our late 50's.
