    I have two excel spreadsheets where I have two sets of account numbers(one column per sheet respectively), one list is 8000 Long and one is 800. I need a formula that will allow me to match the account numbers and return the state code in another column on the opposite spreadsheet!

    My boss has a master list of accounts and a detail list. He wants the state code from the detail list on the master list where appropriate. Please help!

  • Fired from first professional job?

    After just under two months working in Market Research, I was fired from my first post-college job.

    The reason was that they said I wasn't learning fast enough, which I consider untrue... Many, many people consider me the smartest person they have every met (though I disagree with that, but still...) and the place was a little... disorganized.

    But I was fired. Now I am trying to make my way again. Will I ever get a professional job again? I feel like I am ruined. Anyone who can give me some hope, advice, or encouragement would be much appreciated.

  • Find perpendicular unit vectors?

    Find two unit vectors perpendicular to both v = ⟨3, 1, −1⟩ and w = ⟨0, 1, 2⟩.

    See Theorem 1, part (i), page 685. Don’t forget you are asked for unit vectors.

    Also don’t forget that ı , j , and k are vectors, and so they must have the arrow decoration. Once you have found one of the unit vectors, stop and think about why it is really easy to find the second one.

    See this video for what I'm trying to do:

  • Finding direction vector in this problem?

    Generally I would like to know how to do vector parametrization, in particular how to find a direction vector & anything else I should know. The problem I am working is:

    A line passes through the points P = (4,0,1) and Q =(-2,3,5)

    (i) Write down a vector parametrization for the line.

    (ii) Write down parametric equations for the line.

    Answer:

    P=(4,0,1) , Q=(-2,3,5)

    PQ=(-2,3,5)-(4,0,1) = (-6,3,4)

    (i) To take the vector parametrization

    take one of the given points and the direction vector:

    (4,0,1)+t(-6,3,4)

    (ii) The parametric equations are:

    the line is (4,0,1)+t(-6,3,4) so

    x=4-6t

    y=3t

    z=1+4t

    Full ten points to the answer than explains this the best, with everything I need to know (HOW TO) do it myself. Thank you, this will be a big help.

  • Why do people hang up immediately after making plans to hang out?

    I was on the phone with a woman that I asked out, and immediately after we confirmed plans she said she was letting me go, even though we were in the middle of a conversation.

    My guy friends, family members, and everyone else who makes plans of some kind with me does the same thing: once the plans are made the conversation is over.

    Why is this?
