  • how can I fix a stuck power window?

The car is an 01 Mercury Sable. I left the windows down in the parking lot today at work (all 4 windows down all the way) and when I got in and turned the a/c on, only 3 windows came back up. The right rear window won't move at all. I tried the switch on the driver's door and the switch on the right rear door, and neither one worked. Any help or advice would be appreciated!

  • question for NE Patriots fans?

I'm currently watching the Steelers-Patriots game and wondering what the gray and yellow triangular logo at either end of the 50 yard line is? I've never been to Gillette Stadium before, and it's hard to tell on tv.

  • intermittent gas dryer?

My Kenmore gas dryer seems to be having trouble staying hot. The first thing I did was check the vent system. It had a fair amount of lint buildup, so I removed the hose and thoroughly cleaned the back of the dryer, the entire hose itself, and the exterior vent. I now have great airflow to the outside of the house. This didn't fix the problem, so I did some research.

Here's the breakdown of all the symptoms. The burner WILL light on initial startup, and throw a good strong flame for the first five minutes or so. The drum gets nice and hot, then the flame shuts off. I sat on the floor and watched the burner assembly for about 20 minutes of continuous running. Every 2 or 3 minutes, the ignitor kicks on, but the flame only lights on every third or fourth attempt. (It's a glow ignitor, not a spark style, and it glows bright and hot every time. Also, the flame sensor seems to be pretty clean). This leads me to believe that the thermostat and ignitor are cycling properly, but the gas valve solenoids are not. Am I correct in assuming this? My main question is, if the solenoids ARE bad, why do they only work some of the time?

I'm sure I could replace the solenoids myself, but I'll probably end up having a repair service come and work on it. I'd like some opinions and ideas first, though, before I decide. Thanks for reading!
