  • Can I, a British national travel to Germany on January 3 from the Republic of Ireland?

    I am intending to fly from Ireland to Germany on January 3. There is so much confusion surrounding the rules and restrictions. I haven’t received any word on my flights being cancelled which seems hopeful. However the entirety or near enough of Europe has banned flights from the U.K. to European countries (including Germany) due to the new COVID strain found in England. 

    I will be flying from the Republic of Ireland with a British passport, am I unaffected because I’m not flying from the U.K.  or is it still problematic because I’m a British citizen? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
