Retired but active in community. Born and bred Republican and proud of it. Five grandchildren who literally "run my life". That's OK tho, because there is much love to share with them. Not happy with this administration and personally, I am very afraid for this great nation. I will respond to any negatives about my party, as well as responding to obviously inaccurate ravings about what a great job B.O. is doing. That's a definite no-no.

  • Does anyone else agree with me that Whoopie is absolutely the worst dressed?

person on daytime TV/not only The View? I just cannot imagine she thinks she looks good. Doesn't she need a stylist or something? Egads!!!!!

  • So, what about B.O.s plan to PUSH through his health care reform bill, regardless of what the citizens want?

Isn't his ego and arrogance getting in the way of governing this great nation? Or should I say "once great nation", because he certainly seems to be downgrading all of us!

Hopefully the Republican will win, and if so, what kind of message does this send to the White House?

  • Has this member of Congress actually "hit the nail on the head" about Obama's eligibility to be president?

    Deal Challenges Obama’s Eligibility

FIRST TIME IN U.S. HISTORY THAT A SITTING PRESIDENT’S ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONED BY MEMBER OF CONGRESS

    by P. Patriot

Nathan Deal, U.S. Representative for Georgia, is running for Georgia Governor in 2010.

(Jan. 5, 2010) — The Post & Email can publicly confirm that on the first of December, last, U.S. Congressman Nathan Deal (GA-R) challenged the eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of the U.S. presidency.

Todd Smith, Chief of Staff for Representative Nathan Deal of the United States House of Representatives serving Georgia’s 9th district, has confirmed today that Deal has sent a letter to Barack Hussein Obama requesting him to prove his eligibility for the office of President of the United States of America. The letter was sent electronically the first of December 2009 in pdf format, and Mr. Smith said that Representative Deal has confirmation from Obama’s staff that it has been received. The letter did not have additional signatories. It originated solely from Representative Deal.

Now, what does this mean? This is probably the first time in 233 years of American history that a sitting member of the House of Representatives has officially challenged the legitimacy of a sitting president….one full year into his term.

This forever changes the public discourse.

Click the seal to learn more about The Petition Campaign.

Even if the putative president ignores the challenge, he cannot hide from it, because by doing so he admits his guilt through silence. The question has to be asked near and far, why would a president who has promised greater transparency than any previous administration pay upwards of $2,000,000 of taxpayer money to hide documents that could resolve the matter once and for all time for the cost of $20.00. He has publicly admitted on more than one occasion that his father was NOT an American citizen. This alone disqualifies him from eligibility based on Article 2, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the Constitution, and consequently makes him a usurper.

Representative Deal, understanding full well the magnitude and gravity of the situation and recognizing that it places our country in a national security crisis, has rightfully confronted the issue head-on. The ramifications are so serious that all laws signed by a putative president are null and void, and soldiers sent into war under his command can be tried as war criminals.

Representative Deal is not a “Birther”; rather, he is a “Truther”; one of the millions of others who have been seeking irrefutable proof for over a year and a half!

Not a single lawsuit to date has been decided on the merits of the case, with numerous cases yet to be resolved or dismissed.

  • What about Obama's "change" promises during his campaign? Letter to editor in my local paper says it all!?

This, friends, is something that you need to get serious about. The two are like mixing water and oil: they do not go together.

Some of us knew this before the election, but most just wanted change. Well, we all got change, 90 percent bad. Millions of dollars were lost when the market fell. TARP money bill passed unread to keep America from disaster. Today TARP money still exists, unspent. Why the rush?

Much was misspent by the same people responsible for the fall. Obama unemployment would not exceed 8 percent, it is now 10 percent or in reality 15 percent to 18 percent. Next came a stimulus bill, millions continue unemployed. Many gave up seeking. Car buyers got $4,500 bonus from Obama, costing us a few billion more.

Next thing we know he wants to overhaul health care. Why, it is too expensive and too many without. Bogus reasons proven, Obama wants health care control so HE can dole it out. We’re another GM. Power is what he wants, power in every change. Cost will go up but so what. How about cap and trade and global warming? And if that fails the EPA will do it anyway. A lot of changes and guess who pays for them? Media stated that Obama has threatened to shut down a major air base if a senator does not vote for health care. How about that?

  • Do you believe that Obama is the media's "darling"?

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS.....IT IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

The media inferred over and over that George W. Bush was an idiot....Hmmm....My, how the press has changed...

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have wincedin embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans ,would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 5 months so you'll have three years and seven months to come up with an answer. Hows that hope and change doing for you??

"Gov Palin Called It: Obama Loans $10 billion & Soros Invests $811 Million In Petrobas

Thursday, August 20, 2009 On Wednesday, August 19, 2009 Governor Palin commented on Obama Sending Billions Overseas To Appease Environmentalists and she apparently saw that something was fishy. She questioned why the US is investing even $1 overseas for energy when we have the need at home. Well now we know! Obama & cronies have guaranteed $10 billion in loans to Pertrobas but what is more disturbing is socialist Soros invested $811 million in the same company. He must have an inside source?

Bloomberg reported Obama Financier George Soros bought a $811 million stake in Petrobas Brazil SA, making the Brazilian state-controlled oil company his investment fund's largest holding. As of June 30, the stake in Petrobras, as the Rio de Janeiro-based oil producer is known, made up 22% of the $3.68 billion of stocks and American depositary receipts held by Soros Fund Management LLC, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Petrobras has since slumped 28%.

Oddly enough, Oil Online reported Pertobas has secured a loan of 10 billion in US tax dollars from Obama:

The U.S. government is prepared to provide up to $10 billion in loans to finance the development of massive hydrocarbon reserves off Brazil’s coast, a Brazilian official said Wednesday.

Obama’s national security adviser, Gen. James Jones, discussed the matter with officials this week during a visit to the South American country, Brazilian Planning Minister Paulo Bernardo da Silva told reporters. He said the U.S. Export-Import Bank already has signed a letter of intent in that regard with Brazilian state oil company Petrobras.

Coincidence or dirty politics? It looks like Obama is once again paying back his friends. I hope everyone likes the “Change.” God help us all!"

  • Just curious has anyone has heard that our president has?

approved a few billion to be given to Brazil so they can drill off shore. Now my question is, we can't do that here? It appears the major owner of the oil company in Brazil is George Soros, the biggest liberal contributor in history. Does this stink or what? And another thing, when they are up and pumping off shore, the U.S. will be their biggest customer! Again, this stinks! Comments?

and Independants......What do you think of the healthcare plan? No great lengthy answers, just... I agree with it, I don't agree with it, I'm a Dem,, I'm a Republican, I'm an Independant, and a SHORT, CONCISE reason why, either way. This is such an important bill...I'm really curious whether we as citizens have a say in this. I will pass your responses on to my local paper, who is running a similar "survey". Thanks.

  • We had a gettogether last night with some friends and?

neighbors, and of course, the subject turned to healthcare. Concensus that came out of these discussions with both libs and cons. is that why doesn't Obama get some sort of "minimum" insurance coverage for the millions of uninsured, and leave the rest of us alone for the time being. How would he fund it? Second stimulus for banks, automakers, etc? No, put it toward these uninsured necessities for insurance coverage. B.O. and Congress wants to keep spending trillions and trillions with no accountability, so why not get some of those bucks to the uninsured? Make sense? Sure it does, so I guess that means the B.O. and his cohorts won't do it. Oh well, we tried. What say you?

  • Anyone else out there who was totally disgusted by ABC and Obama's?

healthcare "explanations" last night? I am appalled that ABC and the president has the nerve to present what they did. I had little respect before, but absolutely none right now! Healthcare plan? Who will it benefit anyway? Certainly not me, and I'm a senior citizen who is very worried that if this thing passes, we will be "out in the cold"! And conservatives were not "allowed" any rebuttal? somewhat "softened" her liberal image since getting her own cable talk show in the near future?
