I made this profile in 2006. It soon was discovered and taken over by my dad. His name is Richard E. Jordan. I want to thank you all for welcoming him into your community. He enjoyed this site immensely. He will not be with us, he's going home to join the Lord very soon. I will be checking is email if anyone would like to leave a message. Thank-you...LeAnne

  • Thank-you, Yahoo Answers..please read?

My father, Richard Jordan, was the person who answered the questions here. He passed away on May 2nd, 2011. I still check his e-mail. (can't seem to stop myself) What amazes me is this...to this day, nearly 9 months after he passed away, he continues to get email saying his answer "was chosen best answer". I read every question & answer he gave when I see those, and it reminds me of how intelligent he really was, and how he helped people he didn't even know. So, I just want to say Thank-you to all of you for keeping his mind busy even when he was so ill towards the end. I know this is not a question, and it may get deleted, but I needed to say it.

  • Uniforms for politicians?

I think politicians should wear uniforms similar to NASCAR drivers so we can know who their corporate sponsors are.

What do think about this idea?

  • Are we really this far apart?

I make a statement that I believe people can spend their own money better than the government can and I get thumbs down.

Are these people mentally handicapped? Are we really this far apart in our fiscal thinking or am I missing something?

  • Does it really matter?

Once we trudge through all of the BS at any given time, other than political affiliation, does it REALLY matter if it's a democrat or republican on Capital Hill?

  • Are the democrats forgetting the Hillary votes during the primaries?

The democrats who are essentially convinced that Obama will win in 2012, I believe, are ignoring the disenchanted democratic and independent voters who voted for Hillary during the primaries.

    What do you think?

  • Thumbs down for facts?

Do you find it rather futile to answer questions with opposing and easily researched facts and get multiple thumbs down?

Is this not proof that a certain unnamed political party isn't going to let facts get in the way of their entrenched opinions?

  • Where did all the liberals go that were gloating about Wisconsin's voting results?

Hilarious how reality trounces their idealistic Borrow and Spend agenda - maybe now they'll understand that their entitlement gravy train is not sustainable.

  • Do stupid people need class action lawsuits or the lawyers?

As an excellent example, I summit that if you own a Lennox gas fire place, you could be entitled to a warning sticker and screen that essentially warns that the glass front can get hot when the fireplace is operating. DUH?

And what do the lawyers get?

"Attorneys' fees of $4,750,000 and expenses of $180,000" .....am I missing something here, or what?

  • More fear mongering from the left?

Harry Reid just stated that people wouldn't get cancer screening if the republicans succeed in de-funding Planned Parenthood abortions.

Cancer screening? At a Planned Parenthood clinic?

He went on to talk about his grandkids loosing their ability to get health care.

Do you believe they're getting their health care at government funded clinics?

To be blunt, he's lying....plain and simple!

How can democrats support such fear mongering when it's clearly riddled with lies?

  • Fear mongering from the left?

Endanger our troops, shut down Medicare, eliminate programs for the elderly, privatize Social Security, cut food subsidies, people dead in the streets, etc...etc.......

This is what I'm hearing from our esteemed representatives from the left on Capital Hill and from demonstrators in our cities.

What do you think we'll hear when the republicans try to cut trillions of dollars and not just billions?

  • Wisconsin voter fraud?

Do you think voter fraud is involved in the Wisconsin supreme court election?

It's a fact that the voter registers have not been corrected (as mandated) to delete dead people, people from outside the state, people who have moved out of state, outright fraudulent names and addresses and so forth.

The opportunity certainly exists for fraud especially considering Wisconsin's history.

  • What's with all of the redirection when I click on a site in Google?

This is extremely aggravating - when I click on a site, it is redirected to a totally unrelated site. It USUALLY goes to the right site on the second try.

    What's up with that?

  • LCD screen for $7,114 ?

I have a 2 year old, $2000 (on sale?) Sony KDL-52W3000 (52" LCD HD flat screen) with the VERY common problem of a bad LCD screen that has multiple images in horizontal fuzzy bars on the left side.

I have checked several web sites and the price of the LCD panel (part # 80259312) is hovering around $7,114.00 !!??!!

What the hell is up with that? Is this Sony's way of discontinuing not only the model but also the replacement parts? Does anyone know of any fix for this aside from a new panel?

  • Is there any repair other than replacement for a Jimmy axle?

The outer flange on a 1996 Jimmy (and many other models) rear axle forms the inner race on the rear wheel bearing (absolutely brilliant engineering).

Is there any repair for this when the bearing eventually chews up the axle surface other than an axle replacement? A sleeve or kit of sorts?

    Thanks.

  • 1992 Eagle Talon ecm or tcu pin out problems?

(2.0L DOHC 16V turbo awd automatic trans)

I have a 1992 Talon tsi awd with a computer problem - at least if I can find the correct pin out, I suspect that's what it is.

The computer located under the radio has 3 plugs (10 pin / 18 pin / 14 pin)

Every pin out I've found both on the net in in my own resources shows the last connector with 24 pins - not the 14 pins in this beast.

Also, does this vehicle have a separate transmission control module? I've found several listings for a TCU along with an ECU - but no other information.

    Thanks.

  • Any Mazda experts out there?

    2000 Mazda 626, 2.0L, DOHC, 4 cyl, automatic.

Runs down the road fine. Everything's normal when the engine is off idle.

Problem: Very rough idle and stalls - in or out of gear.

Compression good, tune up items good, no fault codes in computer.

Throttle body clean, EGR checks OK, idle air bypass checks OK, TPS checks OK, no vacuum leaks found.

Engine starts right up and immediately starts to slow down from 1000 rpm's until it hovers around 5 or 6 hundred, starts shaking and generally stalls within a minute. Consistently gets real rough and stalls at a stop in gear in 10 or 20 seconds unless the throttle is feathered.

I just priced out a few of the items that I thought might be suspect and got a whole new "appreciation" of Mazda - the idle air valve, for instance, is around $500! This is definitely not a vehicle to be replacing parts on a hunch.

Any help or tips are appreciated. Thanks.

  • Dodge Intrepid heat related engine skips misses, stalls and no start.?

    2000 Dodge Intrepid 2.7 V6 24 valve automatic possessed?

Engine Runs great when cold and during warm up then goes absolutely berserk....erratic skips, spark knock at shaky idle (loud), hesitates, no power whatsoever and stalls and generally won't restart until a 10 or 15 minute cool down - only to repeat the symptoms in a random space of time (sometimes 1 or 2 minutes later, sometimes 15 minutes later. I've determined (obviously) that something is not functioning when it gets hot. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Where is the fuel pressure check for a 2.7L V6 2000 Dodge Intrepid?

Got a Dodge Intrepid with the 2.7L V6 - where is the fuel pressure regulator and how do you check the fuel pressure?

I looked this beast over for about 15 minutes and I didn't even see any fuel lines - maybe I had a brain fart but I figured someone out there has some experience with these vehicles.

    Thanks.

  • 1993 Dodge 2.5L 4 Cyl. SOHC timing?

I have a 1993 Caravan, 2.5L 4 cyl. TBI in the shop that runs horrible - surges, skips, stalls at low speeds & idles rough. Always starts right back up.

Fuel pressure good (14 PSI), timing belt correct, compression 120-125 all cylinders, cap rotor and wires look good, cam looks good, intake vacuum excellent but naturally vibrates when the engine takes a fit, has new plugs and no fault codes or check engine light.

When I put a timing light on the flywheel, the mark jumps all over the place and stays visible in the window only when the light is set for over 30 degrees.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - parts that have been suggested are the, hall effect distributor pickup, the MAP, the PCM, the speed/distance sensor and so forth. I really don't want to start throwing parts at this thing on a hunch.

    Thanks.

  • Is a '98 Ford Taurus 3.0L bent valve normal?

I have just finished tearing down the top end of a '98 Taurus for a misfire in cylinder 1.

Pre-checks showed there was no compression in this cylinder. All other cylinders were fine.

I found a bent exhaust valve and evidence that the exhaust valve had contacted the piston - (whether this was the cause or the effect of the bent valve I don't know).

I replaced the valve and dressed up the seat -

My question: Is this common or should I be looking for a cause before I put this beast back together?
