I have the CCNA ICN1 and ICN2 books. I also have the CBT nuggets for CCNA. Both the book and the videos recommend to eventually buy a couple of switches and routers. So far the cheapest I seen this:

Is there any other cisco managed switches for a lesser price? If so where? Or Any other method to get hands on trainning.

I would like opinion from people who have huge families and/or people who are Portuguese, Italian, Greek.

I live in Toronto Canada, I don't have a big family but my girlfriend does. As we know right now money is extremely tight. I did a bit of research and found out the a very basic portuguese wedding will cost roughly $25,000 to $30,000 if not more.

Here are a few facts for a typical portuguese wedding:

1) Church, Reception Hall, Food, Seafood buffet at the end of the night, DJ, Flowers, etc.

2) Groom's guests = roughly 30 people

3) Bride guests = over 150 maybe more

Option 1: Do the typical wedding, invite all the guests and become yourself and/or parents in debt. Pro: Everyone will be happy. Con: bride, groom and/or parents in huge debt.

Option 2: Plan an Caribbean wedding and only invite very close family and friends. Save your money for a down payment for a home. Pro: No debt. Con: Family on both sides will be upset.

In your opinion which option would you do and why?

I plan on proposing to my gf on christmas day. I wanna start doing my research for an engagement ring. I have asked my gf what she likes. The only two requirements she wants is that it had to be a diamond and the band has to be white. She trust my judgement on the ring. I am old fashioned so I will pick out the ring.

The ring requirements:

Diamond of course (gf told me she likes diamond)

I narrowed it down to either princess cut or rounded cut (dunno the name of it).

The band will be white gold (gf doesn't like yellow)

Maximum limit on the ring's final price including taxes will be $1500.

Besides Spence Diamonds, what are some of the other places in Toronto that have reasonable prices. I want to actually physically go into a store and look at the rings. I will only use online sites as a reference.

Has anyone ever used either Microsoft virtual PC or WMware. I know Virtual Pc is free.

I would like to know which one would be better to network 2 or more virtual pcs.

So I have been thinking about proposing to my gf at around Christmas time (2009). She has mentioned in the past that when I propose to her, she will say "yes" (yeah for me). We will both be done school in october 2009 and by christmas time I believe we will both be ready to to take our relationship to the next level.

Today at the coffee shop near our college, she told me she had a dream of me proposing. I asked her how I did it and what does the ring look like (me trying to get information [im evil]). She only dream of me proposing but not how I did it or even what the ring looks like. So we talk in hypothetical as we normally do.

I get into the topic of what she like in a ring. She told me that she like a traditional diamond, white gold band. The diamond has to be small but not too small.

I have been dating my gf for 1 1/2 yrs. I'm current in school and will finish at the end of september 2009. I'm thinking of proposing to my gf at around christmas or new year time. I also have to ask her dad permission to marry my gf.

When should I start doing my research for engagement rings?

When is the latest I can buy the ring.

I already have a price limit for the ring and have an educated guess on her ring size. So no comments regarding 4 month salary for the ring.

Any guys that are already engaged, your opinion would be really helpful.

Why are there so many parties the wedding?

Bridal/wedding shower, engagement party, bachelor party, blachelor (female version) party, stag and doe, etc.

First let me say that me and my gf have been dating for 1 1/2 yrs. I love her with all my heart. When we talk about marriage and stuff, we talk in hypothetical way.

Recently I have come to realize that she is the one for me. We are both in school and will both finish college in september. I believe that after I finish school, I will be ready to be engaged.

Here is the problem. Last night, we were watching TV and a scene of a bride and groom stuffing each others face with the wedding cake. I normally make a comment using "IF". But this time I made a comment "Please don't do that to me." (referring to the scene on tv.) She caught me right there, I immediately said "IF".

Later on I asked her if she was scared/shocked on the comment earlier, she said no.

I would like some tips to avoid making mistakes. I would like to be a surprise.

I need a song to put on an engagement video.

Basically I'm making a video that is roughly 3 minutes. The first minute is pics of me, the second minute is pics of my gf and the third minute is pics of me and my gf. I don't understand the point for putting up your name, date of birth, where you were born. How does that information determine how and when you get married?

I understand that different cultures have different beliefs on marriage.

What I don't understand is how information on when and were you were born affects when you get married?

I thought that you have to meet someone, fall in love, find out if the both of you are the one, then get married.

I need to find out what is wrong with this problem. The computer is Pentium 3, when I boot it up, the screen is blank with no beeps. The hard drive spins, and there is power to every device. I checked all the connections, changed the video card, the ram is 256 MB DIMM and 64 MB DIMM. I dunno what the problem is.

We have talked about rings. In her future career, she will not be able to wear huge rings. So a huge engagement ring with a huge diamond wouldn't work. So I was thinking that a simple small engagement ring with a small diamond would work.

I have a nextar mn2707. I have updated to the latest firmware. My problem is that the maps have not been updated. It can't find certain areas that google maps or maps which you buy. Example: My gf house is located in a new area (about 3 yrs old).
