The U. S. A. is supposed to be a self-governing nation of the people, by the people, and for the people.?
Can the citizens of the U. S. A. be trusted to govern themselves? Is a new "form" of government needed?
13 AnswersGovernment3 years agoThere are some sayings regarding gender stereotypes. Who got or gets the better deal?
"Diamonds are a girls' best friend."
"A dog is man's best friend."
So...who got the better deal? Why do you believe your response? Rather, what reason do you give for your response?
6 AnswersGender Studies9 years agoCommunication in history and between generations; is it reasonable and possible?
I recently saw a documentary about Christianity's influence/impact in World War Two Germany.
If two people can read the same words and come to different conclusions, what does that say about the re-telling of history? What does that say about our present and future? And finally, is there a distinction between individual participation and collective participation as a group or a lack thereof?
Again, the same words were read. Again different conclusions were drawn by both with terrible consequences to both.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoPeople of Gender Studies, how long does the "I'm sick of this stuff" attitude last?
It's pretty much the same thing over and over. Does anyone learn? Does anyone profit from this? Maybe my time would be better spent how? Or is there yet hope that people can grow and learn and contribute to their society?
2 AnswersGender Studies10 years agoMen: Would you purchase make-up or under garments for your spouse or daughter?
Women: Would you ever ask a husband or father to make such a purchase for you. Women may have to work odd hours. A man may be available to run errands. Is this happening often? How do you feel about it? Is it embarrassing?
6 AnswersGender Studies10 years agoWhat do you think of historical re-enactments?
Are the participants showing disrespect for one side or the other? Do they serve an educational purpose? Would a politician who wore a Nazi uniform lose respect for participating on the "wrong" side during the re-enactment?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat do feminists think of a man who...?
What do feminists think of a man who washes his clothes in the bath tub rather than buying his wife another clothes washer?
6 AnswersGender Studies1 decade agoDo you agree with these "Man Rules"?

19 AnswersGender Studies1 decade agoRegarding sexual relationships, what's the difference before and after marriage?
Before marriage, a person can have as many sex partners as desired. A person can live with as many people as desired.
After marriage, doing the same thing can be illegal in some places. Most people "frown" upon the idea of a harem whether populated by men or women.
Yet it is "acceptable" before marriage? This difference in standards makes no sense to me.
10 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHow likely is it that someone could determine your I. D. or location if you ask and answer enough questions?
I suspect that without care in asking and answering questions, that enough personal information could be divulged to allow a predator or entity such as yahoo or government to know your real life identity and/or location. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar thought or concern.
6 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoHow do electronic calculators work?
I am specifically interested in the process of arithmetic division.
3 AnswersEngineering2 decades agoHow do I make an electronic circuit to digitally perform arithmetic division.?
I wish to time the period of a cycle and then use the formula: 3600/period equals the cycles per hour. I asked a similar question earlier and miscategorized it.
