  • Found a VISA gift card and used it....?

I found a VISA gift card at the airport economy parking lot lying in the middle of the road. I called the airport lost and found and nothing had been reported lost but left my information. I logged into the site and the card as not registered to anyone and had $350 on it. The phone # on the card was only a recording and I could not talk to anyone. I found where it was purchased and contacted the grocery store and was told by the manager it could not be traced back to anyone. I also posted an ad on craigslist that it was found. I did not hear back from anyone. So after waiting a while I used the card. A week after I used it I logged in to see the remaining balance and that amount was removed from the card (thinking the owner has found the receipt and reported it lost finally). Now I am a nervous wreck that I used it and wondering if I can get into trouble. Thoughts?

  • Does anyone know of an app to track football minimum play count?

My husband coaches a youth football team and the league put a new rule in place this year saying that all kids must have the number of plays (times they are on the field) counted to ensure teams are following the rules and to ensure all kids are getting playing time. Our team has always tracked this but it has been on paper. Does anyone know of a IPad app that would work to track the stats and minimum plays? Thank you.

  • How to get insurance claim money from Chase?

We recently had a very bad hail storm that did a lot of damage to our house/yard. Our insurance adjuster came out and told us the roof needs to be replaced, some siding needs to be replaced, 2 windows, deck needs some new boards, and our window screens need to be replaced. In addition we had a canopy/gazebo in the backyard that was destroyed and some of the lawn furniture. The adjuster stated that we would receive a check that would have our name and our mortgage company (Chase) on it. He said that we would need to endorse the check and send it to Chase and then it is up to Chase when/how they will release the funds. We would like to get the roof and windows replaced as soon as possible but we need the money to pay the contractors. We would also buy a replacement canopy and lawn furniture. I have tried to find some information about how this works with Chase (I will call them during the week) but I have seen that it is a nightmare for several people to get the money. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • What to buy 21 year old step-son for Christmas?

Help! I need some ideas of what to buy my step-son for Christmas. We bought him a Xbox but then found out that is what his mother bought him. To keep the peace, I agreed to return the one that we bought. I went out last night and bought him a Nook & cover & gift card to B&N (yes he reads a lot). We need to get him a few other gifts but I have no idea what to buy him. We bought him a bunch of clothes in November for his birthday so I know he is good there. We need to get him a few other gifts but I have no idea what to buy him - any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Ideas for a Movie Themed Christmas Party?

We are starting to plan our annual Christmas Party but would like to do something different this year. We have decided that we will decorate different rooms in Christmas movie themes (Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Charlie Brown's Christmas, etc). Anyway, I am looking for ideas for key decorations to each room. So far we have a leg lamp, Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree, will make a jello mold - any ideas how to make a fake over-cooked turkey? Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

  • Buying a used boat in Colorado?

We are looking at buying a boat from an individual but we need to find out how to do a lien search. Colorado does not title boats so there is not a way to find out if the lien is on the title - can anyone tell me how to search liens on consumer goods? Thank you

  • When will insurance total a car?

At what point will my insurance company total a car? My husband was in a car accident and the whole front end of the car is damaged - the estimate is $7800 to fix and the car is valued at $9100. The body shop has been waiting a 2 days, so far, for the insurance to decide what to do. I am hoping it can be fixed but I also need to know if I need to start car shopping.

  • What should I serve at my book club?

I am hosting our book club and the book that we are discussing is "Art of Racing in the Rain" and I am having a problem trying to figure out what to serve. We typically serve a dessert that is related to the book. Any ideas?

  • What to give my youth football team for end of year gift?

I need help with what to give my youth football players for a gift for the end of the year. I had my team do a community service project of collecting canned goods and clothing and the league awarded our team $400 towards the end of year gift/party. The party has been decided upon and we have about $250 of that left for gifts.

Last year I gave each kid a football and they all autographed it.

I will not give trophies. My reason is this is a competitive league and the kids were told that they get a trophy if they make it to the Super Bowl. Please don't tell me I am taking it too seriously....my son has a shelf full of trophies that mean nothing to him but he got them for participating. The trophy that means something is the one he got during the big game.

  • How to clean red fruit punch stains out of carpet?

My son recently went to a baseball game with my husband and drank a lot of fruit punch Crystal Light. Well, when he got home he was in our family room and started to feel sick. He vomited all the way to the bathroom. I cleaned up the spots as best as I could get them (they were bright red from the Crystal Light). I thought spots looked good until just recently it seems like they are showing up in the carpet. Any ideas what I can use to clean the carpet to get the stains out?

    Thanks.

  • Is it OK to request no gifts for a 9 year old birthday party?

We are planning my son's 9th birthday party at the local rec center pool in November. We rent out the pool as a private party so he can invite as many kids as he wants. He wants to invite his football team and baseball team to the party which means we are looking at about 35-40 kids. I know this is a lot but he spends 3-4 days/week with these kids and the whole group has become pretty close knit.

We did this same type of party last year and it was great other than he received so many gifts. We ended up giving a lot of the toys to a local toy drive at Christmas. This year we would rather he not receive any gifts at the party (he will still get some from us and his grandparents).

Is this OK to request no gifts? If so, any suggestions how to write it on the invite?

  • What Nikon lens should I buy?

I just bought a D60 Nikon to use for my sons baseball & football games. I would like a telephoto lens (right now I have the 18-55mm lens that it came with) to take close ups. I don't want to spend a ton of money but would like something that will take portraits. What lens should I buy?

  • Should I tip the dog groomer?

I need to go pick up my dog from the groomer and was wondering if I should tip, and if so what is customary? My dog is a flat coat retriever so he is big. The groomer was going to bathe him, cut his names, and shave his coat. I was already told that the cost will be $105 so I was wondering if a 10% tip was enough or if I should even tip at all.

    Thank you.

  • When should football helmet awards be given?

My husband is coaching 7 year old football and has helmet award decals to give to the team. He wants to use them as a motivation tool for the kids and wants to make sure all the kids get the awards. Has anyone else coached little kids....any good ideas as to what the awards should be given for or what he should name the awards. Also, should the awards be given only for the games or should he give out awards for practice. He is new to coaching. He has 8 different decals that he can give. Any thoughts?

  • Should I tip for room service?

I am staying at the Hilton in Athens and ordered room service. I am already paying 17.50 euro for a pizza, 12.00 euro for a lemon tarte, and 6.50 euro for a glass of ice tea. The room service has a deliver charge of 8.00 euro - do I still tip on top of that? I don't normally order room service but I am in the middle of a conference call so I don't have much of a choice.

    Thanks.

  • How to remove blue mouthwash from cabinet?

My 7 year old sun used the Orajel Kids Plaque Revealing Rinse that is a bright blue color and he has spilt it all over his bathroom, and of course he didn't tell me right away. I was able to get the countertop and floor cleaned up but I still have blue streaks down the side of the wood vanity. Any ideas how on what I can use to clean this? I have tried a few household cleaners with no luck.
