I have a Katana and it was appraised by a man who is knowledgable in military Pieces. After looking at it he said it was worth 900 and he would buy it for 800. I passed on the deal because I don't think it is smart to sell something to someone who tells you how much the item is worth. He could tell me 200and it's worth 1000? It is not that I do not trust him, it's I don't know him. Anyone know anything that could help me correctly identify this sword? I know it's ww2 because I have had several people identify it as so but have also heard several different answers for the worth. I was told if its still sharp then it's hand made and worth thousands. This sword is sharp. The blade is a bit rusted. It has the three flower symbol on the handle. A person was about to take a kitten pot the 'pound' and asked my son and I if we would like to have it. Of course we agreed. After a week this cat was loving life at our house. Always running and attacking your foot, just all over the place. Fun. Four days ago my son jumped on the pillow on his bed and the cat was underneath it. The cat cried and it's leg was sticking out. This was thanksgiving day. The cat would not walk on its back left leg. The leg wasn't broken it just looked as if the cat was holding it out. It did not look longer and did not feel like anything was broken so we didn't take it to the vet. The kitten, or Henry, was back to normal after a day or rest. Now just this morning Henry was running around. Now tonight he isn't moving at all like he is paralyzed. He sometimes moves his upper body to sit up. Won't eat or drink. Doesn't really move his eyes, I almost feel like he is blind but he looks at me occasionally. Any clue as to what is wrong? The vet said they do not have a doctor in to see him until tomorrow. The emergency vet told me it will cost me at least $700 for exams, testing and etc. for a dr to come in and see him. I can't do that. - I don't understand why a vet wouldn't just want to help an animal. Instead charge the hell out of it. What is wrong?

I often wonder the distance those aircraft are. Give me a rough estimate on the distance. An aircraft on the horizon with contrails following behind. About 30 miles at 27,000ft?

Would it be hazardous to fire a gun or missile while in a high G turn?

My sons mother moved away across the US almost 10 months ago. It was the best thing for my son considering her problems with everything. She would argue daily around my little boy and never really connected with him(She would rather be on the computer, sleep, eat, shop, talk on the phone, watch reality TV shows, or go out). The worst thing was her anger and how she would argue over the smallest thing, screaming and acting mad around my little boy. I have paid for a ticket for her to return and she has had chances to return but said she doesn't have time since she has a job now and is getting her life together. She still calls and argues with me, calling me names, putting me down and threatens me at least once a week. Now she says she is going to return and get her son. She wants full custody and wants him to live with her 2000miles away. I have filed in court and I am sending her the papers informing her of this custody battle.

What are the chances that she will get full custody? What do you think she will get?

I do not want a war or battle but obviously this is what has to happen to protect my son from her. She is selfish and mostly just wants to win not because she wants to take care of our son. My son has lived with me and in this state for 4 yrs, his whole life, and currently goes to school here. I want full custody and her supervised visitation. She has threatened to leave to Mexico or a number of other areas where she has family. She has already left for 1 month and now she has left for 10 months. She can be very immature and focuses on getting over on me and being victorious in a way. Like a child laughing at someone after they won. very odd. This is about my son. He doesn't need this diversion in his life. Her leaving was a good thing. A child can not grow up in a hostile environment. I want him to have a mother but she needs to change. Even when she lived with us I still did everything for him. She literally had no connection with him. If she were to try to hug him or kiss him he would push her away and scream. He never wanted to be with her without me.

I am helping out at a pawn shop. The owner who is really close to me can not work for a while so I am helping out with no experience in this field. When someone brings in gold I have an equation I go by in order to know how much I can ask for it. Gold Price/20/24*kt*weight= . But I am curious how much we charge or should charge for gold when someone asks. I heard someone charges 40 per dwt or pennyweight. So how much does the average person who buys gold charge for it by the dwt and or gram? How about silver? Platinum?

I would rather figure out on my own then learn from a person who I do not have a lot of faith in. So please help. Thanks.
