Well, I'm Angela, but that or Angel works. I like answering questions that involve thought, and make you think before you answer. Of course, I like the funny simple ones too, but my main interests are sparked by the thought-provoking ones. They seem to prove more interesting, and they also give you insight into how people think, what they think, and why they think it, assuming you, yourself, are capable of thinking outside the 'box' that is your own mind. I don't claim that I'm perfect because I'm not, but I do my best with what I've got to do it with. I am decently proud of myself for being able to think past only MY thoughts, and also being capable of realizing and understanding the thoughts of others. When I answer questions, I answer them to the best of my ability, even if my abilities aren't all that great on the subject. I try to answer them regardless, as long as I actually think I'm capable of answering intelligently.

  • Stoichiometry Homework Help?

When sodium carbonate reacts with hydrochloric acid, the carbonic acid that is formed immediately breaks down into carbon dioxide and water. What mass of sodium carbonate would have been present originally if 5.0 L of carbon dioxide were obtained at STP in this way?

    ***

When ammonia is burned in oxygen, free nitrogen gas and water are produced. What volume of ammonia will react completely with 25.0 L of oxygen at STP? What volume of nitrogen gas is formed at STP?

    ***

What mass of chlorine gas will be needed to react completely with 85.5 g of potassium iodide in a single displacement reaction?

I've got a whole list of problems to do and they're all similar to the three of these. Can anyone help me out with them, preferably step-by-step, so I can follow along a little better? Any help would be appreciated! :)

  • Types of representative particles and how to tell?

Is there a quick way to tell if the following are ions, covalently bonded, or ionically bonded? The idea would be to know that, and be able to decide if they're in ions, molecules(covalent), or formula units(ionic).

    Lead (II) nitrate

    Chloride

    Hydrogen peroxide

    Calcium bromide

    Magnesium sulfate

  • Mass of the following - Help with Avogadro's number and molecular conversions, please!?

    1. 3.25 x 10^23 formula units iron (II) sulfate

    2. 9.25 x 10^23 molecules oxygen

Either or both would be awesome. I'm trying to get the process down, and it's a little difficult to do when I wasn't there for the class when we learned it, and I've got like four pages of the stuff to work on. Help would be greatly appreciated. :)

  • Why do you answer questions on Y!Answers?

I don't mean to sound rude, but this is genuine curiosity. Do you take the time out of your day to answer questions because you really want people to gain something from your answer? Because you want the points? Maybe because you want to see how witty (or otherwise) you can be in an answer...? There's tons of possible reasons. What are yours?

Thanks! I wish you all a wonderful day. :)

  • are we really 'ourselves' if 'ourself' is more someone or several someones than just us?

what if for you, yourself is more a part of someone else, or other people around you. are you really yourself if you are more someone else? not just in how you act, or think, but, how you are. like, what if, instead of your thoughts being just your own, they are more like someone else's... i dont know exactly how to convey what i mean because words just dont describe accurately enough... what i mean is, if someone understands others well enough that they KNOW what they think, feel, etc, that you arent really totally YOURSELF. that, you are so much someone else, that you arent really yourself.... well, if you can understand what i mean, feel more than free to comment, and thanks in advance for even trying to understand what i meant, and special thanks to all the answers (hopefully)

  • crying when/while you sleep/wake up?

when i was younger, i can remember waking up and be crying. i couldnt remember what the dreams were (and i still can't remember many of my dreams). i just know that i woke up crying really hard for no apperent reason. i have read stuff on REM sleep, and other stages of sleep, but i can't seem to find a reason for crying when i was sleeping. it seemed that i had been crying for several minutes before i woke up. i dont think it had anything to do with those days that i woke up crying because they were just like any other day. i also seem to know when i have a dream. i can never remember what my dreams are, but i can tell a general idea of the mood in my dream. it was a while ago, several years, but i cant remember ever feeling those dreams. i cant even remember a mood in them. i just knew that i woke up crying. nothing really presented itself to me as to why i woke up crying. it happened several times, and was fairly frequent when i was younger. at the time, i was between the ages of 3 and 9 or so. i am 13 now, but i do remember waking up crying often. and, even then, at the age i was, i understood what was happening, and i tried to deduce what was happening and why. i was not an unintellegent child then, and i dont percieve myself as unintellegent now either. but, i still couldnt find any reason for it happening.

well, thanks for any answers you may give. i hope you all have a great day!!!

  • can telepathy be hearing simple things too?

instead of hearing or seeing a very specific thing or phrase, could telepathy be feeling a need, or desire, of animals, or people? could it be feeling the need or thought that an animal needs water, or that a person needs comfort? could it be simple feelings rather than specific thoughts?
