  • Would like your opinion in marriage work situation...?

My husband and I are both self employeed. He has been self employeed for 10 years. Until the last year I worked part time for a company and part time for my self. The last business my husband started (last fall) put me into my own business. Therefore every dime that the business brings in first pays the business bills then to repay what he invested. My problem is the money I make from my business (the one I have always had) only makes enough money to cover bills, no extra activities. My husband gets upset that I have to ask him for money to "enjoy" life with. He always brings it to my attention he pays for everthing. Before I quit my part time job I did not have to ask him for money to "enjoy" live with. It was his idea to begin this last business and me run it. It will take 4 years for this business to repay him for me to have an income. Is it wrong of me to get upset when he reminds me he pays for everything? I am not an extravagant shopper, I don't have a fancy car (infact it is a 2001 model), I don't have all name brands...therefore I'm not just throwing money away. It hurts my feelings that he reminds me he pays for everything. I put 40 - 65 hours a week into this business, so it is not like I am not doing anything.

  • What is your opinion on bridesmaid's carrying clutches down the isle?

After meeting with my florist she suggested to purchase my bridesmaid's a clutch, attach a flower to the clutch and let them carry that down the isle vs. a flower arrangement. I think it is a neat idea, just wanted input from other's.

The groomsmen are going to wear khaki linen pants and sage green linen shirt. I have one groomsman that is over weight and I can not find a big shirt to fit him. Would it be ok if he wears the same color shirt just different style? Can only find short sleeve in that color. Unfortunatly his is not the best man or I could so pull this off!

  • Your opinion on this friendship situation please...?

This gets long, I tried to keep it short. If you feel you need more details please let me know.

Last week I talked to Michelle (a friend). Michelle asked me where myself and Ben (my boyfriend) were going Saturday night. I told Michelle that Ben was going to Leslie and Todd's (mutual friend's of mine and Michelle's) house to watch a ball game. On Saturday Michelle and myself had dinner while Ben went to Todd and Leslie's. At dinner a conversation came up that made Michelle and myself realize Michelle and her boyfriend were not invited to a previous gathering at Leslie and Todd's. Orginally me, Michelle and Leslie had plans to go somewhere this week and Leslie cancelled on us. After dinner I called Leslie and left a message to ask "if she was upset with Michelle. Is that why you are not going with us this week and is that why they were not invited to the party and over to watch the game last night." She did not return my phone call. I ran into her and asked her the same question. She told me no she and Michelle had not had a fallen out and that was the end.

After that Todd (Leslie's husband) called my boyfriend about me running my mouth around town about who he invites to his house. My boyfriend in return calls me mad at me not even knowing the situation. I called Todd and he again accused me of talking around town. He considers the conversation with Michelle and conversation with his wife talking around town.

    Questions are:

Am I wrong that the conversation with myself and Michelle came up at dinner? I did not say why were you not at the party at Michelle and Todd's. It came out in other conversation and Michelle realized they did not get invited and that was the extent of the conversation.

Was Leslie wrong by having her husband call my boyfriend? I feel Leslie and I are adults (30) and friends for 20 years, had she had a problem with our conversation we could have discussed it. When my boyfriend called me I felt like I was in highschool and daddy was calling to fuss.

Should I be angry at my boyfriend for not stopping Todd in his words? After 3.5 years with my boyfriend we have never had drama like this, he knows me well enough to know I don't go "talking around town."

    Thanks!

  • How to make a jewelry party fun?

am a representative for a jewelry. I am looking for ideas to make the parties entertaining. Most women are mom's and ofen times they talk about enjoying being out, not ready to leave, etc... What are some ideas to make the parties more fun and exciting so they get the most out of their night out? It will be ok for me to do give aways, but what type of trivia or games for the guest to earn them? Any other ideas than trivia or games? All comments will be greatly appreciated!

  • I'm ready to get married...not sure he is.?

I have dated my boyfriend for over 3 years, we have lived together 2.5 years. I just turned 28 and he just turned 34. Neither of us have been married before and neither of us have children. We are financially stable. I am ready to get married and start a family. He avoids the conversation of setting a date, and no I have not received an engagement ring. I always bring up the subject and he always changes the subject. I am beginning to feel I am wasting time here and being taken for granted. Never been any lies or any cheating. I think he is truly afraid to get married b/c of his child hood. I am ready to tell him let's set a date or I am gone. All advice will be greatly appreciated!
