  • itunes doesn't start playing when opening mp3 file?

    Computer running Windows 7

    Latest version of itunes installed

itunes set as default program for mp3 files

When I doubble click on an mp3 file in windows. itunes will open and add the file to the library, but it wont start playing.

If I manually click the play button, itunes will start playing the first song in my library,

I then have to go through my library to find the song I just opened and start playing it from the list.

Does anyone know of a setting or issue that could have caused this?

  • Outlook Emails Disappearing (I've tried everything)?

Please Read All Details Before Posting an Answer

I am a computer support specialist, my client has Outlook 2007 Installed.

He's recently been experiencing an unusual issue where all new incoming mail download to the inbox for a second, then disappear.

    Things to note:

Outlook is configured with 3 POP accounts (from 3 different servers)

Issue is occurring with all 3

Existing emails have not disappeared, only new ones, immediately after they download.

These accounts are also set up on different computers and they work there.

The other computers are set NOT to delete from server

    THINGS I HAVE ALREADY CHECKED/TRIED

    - They do not go into any another folder (including trash or spam)

    - There are no rules set/enabled

    - "Current View" is set to default

    - Performed scanPST

    - Performed Office Repair

    - Created a new data file and set as default

    - Re-installed Outlook (it retained preferences from previous installation)

    - Computer is clean of virus/spyware

    - No unusual Add-ons enabled

    Thank you.

  • Help me find the model of my TV?

I just got a logitech harmony remote and it requires the model of my television.

My TV is mounted on the wall and I can't get to the back of it.

    .

    Information I do have:

    it's a Sanyo 42" plasma

The manufacturer date is 2006 lot# 103615 (info from one of the stickers I CAN see)

I bought it at Costco (canada) in 2007

The model of the remote is rb279

    Stuff I don't have:

I can't get to the back of the TV to see the model sticker

I can't find the TV manual

I don't have the box it came in.

even if you can narrow it down to a few models for me to choose from based on the info above it would be a huge help.

Thank you for any help you can offer

  • Can I install Win 7 Upgrade on a new machine?

Please only answer if you KNOW, have tried it, or have seen it done.

I've talked to enough people who have HERD or speculated. I need to know 100%

Officially I'm not supposed to, but some say there's no reason why it wouldn't work.

If I purchase Windows 7 upgrade, and attempt to install it on a computer without an OS, will it work?

OR, can I upgrade from a computer with XP that has not been activated?

    Thank you.

  • Stop over in San Francisco?

My Wife and I are flying with our new son in the next few weeks.

Our flight has one stop over in San Francisco for about 3 hours.

My question is, would this give us enough time to leave the airport for 1 hour and make it back in time for the next flight, or will going through security take a long time?

We wont have to go though customs again.

And I don't think this is a busy time for travel.

I'm just not too familiar with US airports these days, and how long it might take to get back into the boarding area.

  • Pop-ups from out of nowhere!?

This is not your typical spyware issue I'm dealing with. I need the pro's on this one.

We have 3 computers on this network they are all getting pop-ups while browsing the internet.

It doesn't matter which site is visited, when a link is clicked, occasionally a pop-up will open in a new window.

    Things I have already done/Tested:

Tried 3 different browsers - Same results

Disabled any add-ons/plugins - Same results

Double checked IP/DNS and proxy settings - All correct

Checked for (and disabled) any suspicious start-up programs

    Cleaned temp files with Ccleaner

Scanned whole computer with the following scanners:

    MalwareBytes

    Spybot

    Hyjack This

    Antivir

    Avast

    - Nothing significant was found

As you can see from the steps I've taken, I concider myself to be a very savvy computer user, but this one has got me stumped. Is there any suggestions you can offer that I haven’t already tried.

    Thank you.

  • Which computer should I get?

I'm trying to decide which computer to get.

The only real difference is the CPU and about $40.

Computer A has a core 2 duo running at 1.8Ghz

    Computer B has a P4 HT running at 3Ghz

    Computer A is $40 More

So I know core 2 duo is obviously a better chip platform, but considering it's running at almost half the speed, is it really worth the extra $40?

  • Mothers day suggestions for my wife (new mother)?

This will be her first mothers day and I want to do something special.

Our son is 3 months old and is nursed, so we can't go out for the night.

I don't want to get the usual flowers or such, and she says she's not interested in jewelery.

I was thinking of making a nice dinner at home, but her diet is very limited (she want's to be careful about what goes into the breast milk)

Other than that I'm open for suggestion.

  • Should I buy the extended warranty?

    I'm buying a new car, a Nissan versa 2010.

The current warranty covers most stuff for the first 3 years some of the critical engine parts for 5 years and the transmission for 10 years.

They are trying to sell me on the extended warranty, which apparently has additional bonuses aside from just the additional time/mileage from which the car is covered.

    http://www.nissanextendedwarranty.com/warranty/war...

Anyways on a 60 month financing plan, to increase the coverage to 4 years it will cost me an extra $17.50/month

Think I should go for it?
