I am a Geologist and Environmental Scientist. I am also a Paranormal Investigator and an artist. I do "Living Histories" with the SCV (Sons of Confederate Vetrans)
Has anybody here ever encountered THIS Phenomenon?
You are Sitting in your living room and suddenly hear from the Kitchen or another near by room a loud CRASH! sounding like someone dropped a big box of DISHES or glass. Sometimes it sounds like a big pot or water bucket that is dropped. You run to the location to see what has happened, and you see NOTHING. Everything is in order, nothing is broken or out of place.-----This is one of the most common occurrences people encounter in alleged "Haunted Houses" and is often blamed on "Ghosts".
This phenomenon has showed up numerous times in my reviews and studies of the so called "Paranormal" and is an interesting "Curiosity". Indeed I have had friends who have had the same experience. I encountered the FALLING POT variation recently, myself, and had never heard of it---and a few days later read of another person encountering it a few days later in HIS report prior to claiming he saw "a ghost"
This Phenomenon is both common enough and ODD enough to be something REAL and associated with so - called "Hauntings". Now MY Position on these this is there are no REAL "Ghosts" as in "Spirits of the dead", but there is a class of still unexplained Phenomena that people CALL "Ghosts". REAL events that cannot YET be explained, but are responsible for some witnesses belief in "ghosts" and other "paranormal" Phenomena.
Has anybody here experienced the "Falling Pot" or "Crashing box of Dishes" phenomena?
10 AnswersParanormal Phenomena10 months agoParanormal Event___The missing Pot?
Not long ago, I had a Genuine "Paranormal" experience in MY house. About 2 AM, "Answering the call of nature" I got up and proceeded through the kitchen (in the darkness). When I passed the Dining room door, there was a loud CRASH! like a bucket or big pot had crashed to the floor, right next to me. I then heard the LID roll into the dining room, circle around and clatter to a rest on the floor.
I cursed under my breath, thinking a house guest had set a pot on a chair or something and I knocked it over in the dark.
I turned on the kitchen light, and saw a LARGE PUDDLE of water on the floor--Just as I stepped in it. Must have been 1/2 gallon or more----A circle of 4 feet or so.
I looked for the pot or bucket, but there was NONE to be seen, even the "Lid" did not exist. I mopped up the water and returned to bed---Totally mystified. I still am puzzled.
My Paranormal theory is that one time in the 160 year old history of the house, someone dropped a pot of water and his/her emotional reaction energy caused a small "time wormhole" to open up into MY time for a second or two. The pot and lid stayed in the past time but the water did not------OR the water was part of an atmospheric effect arising from the wormhole--As the puddle was ROUND and not a "Spatter" from a spill. -------Whatever, just the same it is a real MYSTERY.

Assuming we are NOT dealing with "Ghosts", Spirits, etc. AND eliminating Hallucinations and illusions and hoaxes, Just WHAT in the realm of Science or Physics could cause people, often multiple witnesses, to see "dead" or people from a past time (in clothing, of course) and often inanimate objects, Buildings, trains and cars---That simply "Appear out of nowhere" and vanish in a few seconds, etc.
Obviously, it's some sort of "Glitch" in time, especially in the case of multiple witnesses as no two people dream or Hallucinate the same thing.------Any speculation how this might happen?

8 AnswersParanormal Phenomena4 years agoBi-Stable multi vibrator switch using only EM relays. for a digital counter/memory?
This question has been vexing me for many years since I first heard of it in Jr. High. The first electric computers used bi-stable multi vibrator switches made of electromagnetic relay banks. an electrical pulse would turn the first one on, lighting an indicator lamp, a second pulse would turn the first switch(and the lamp) off and turn on the second switch and lamp. A third pulse would turn the first switch on again and a fourth pulse would turn BOTH the first two switches off and turn on a third switch in the series---etc.
So an arrangement of a series of these switches would make a digital binary counter.-------Each switch would take a pulse--if it was open, the pulse would close it, if it was already closed the pulse would open it AND send a pulse to the next switch in the series which behaves the same.
Ever since I was a kid, I have tried to devise a relay circuit that would do this and failed. It seems that once the pulse closes the first switch, it immediately reconfigures and treats the same pulse as a new pulse ----The duration of the pulse should not matter. Somehow the pulse should NOT further affect the switch until it stops and a new pulse is entered. --- Does anybody know a circuit for an EM switch array that behaves as correctly as the above description says it should?-----Using no artificial delays or other components rather than multi contact relays?
