  • I'm worried that hunting has made me insensitive. Is that possible?

Earlier I answered a question posted by a gay,liberal,one-armed person. It wasn't two minutes till I got a violation notice from Yahoo. I guess my answer hurt it's feeling(much as I suppose this question will). So my question is this. Has the fact that I hunt made me insensitive, or is it just that as I come closer to my sixtieth birthday I have less tolerance to gay trolls and idiots? Answer quickly please as i'm sure i'll be hearing from the Yahoo folks again soon lol.

  • 300 Blackout reloading questions?

I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 300 Blackout upper and i'm in the process of building some reloads. My questions for those of you that load for this are the following.

1 Is case life about the same as 5.56 NATO? If not shorter or longer?

2 How many loadings do you get between having to trim cases?

I'm loading once fired Lake City 5.56 brass

  • I've been thinking about getting a sonic cleaner and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for what brand to get?

It seems to me it would be a great way to clean gun parts and cases. I don't want the biggest one they have nor the smallest. In addition to a brand can anyone tell me how long the gun parts and the case cleaning solutions last before you need to change them out? I was thinking about getting a Hornady unless someone knows of a better brand to get. Thanks guys

  • Can anyone that owns a Colt LE6920 AR 15 answer a question for me?

I recently bought a used LE6920 and was going to install an aftermarket trigger I had on hand. I was very surprised what a fine trigger it already has though. It got me to wondering if it's already an upgraded trigger group since there are other mods done to the gun(such as a Seekins free float handguard and Magpul furniture). So what I was wanting is for someone to look at the trigger in their Colt and see if the hammer is marked the same as mine. At the top of my hammer there are two small square boxes with the letter S in them In between them is a circle with a 1 in it. I'm just trying to find out if that's a stock Colt part without have to contact Colt. Thanks.

  • A follow up to Candid Chris?

The other day Candid Chris asked what people's favorite rides were. I was wondering if anyone else was aware of this site?http://www.motorcycleroads.com/ There are some rides listed here I definitely want to go check out. Also for anyone here in the Southwest I wanted to mention a great ride. From Safford Az to Clifton Az to Springerville Az is a great ride(especially the section out of Clifton up to Morenci). For that matter the whole area of the Mogollon Rim in Az near Payson and Show Low is great riding.

  • Can anyone tell me about these primers?

I went to a yard sale and the guy had a sealed box of Winchester #1 1/2 primers for sale. He wouldn't let me open the box to look at them and there was another guy waiting for me to put them down so i bought them. 5000 for $75.00 dollars. I opened the box and they are in yellow boxes with red lettering that say Staynless(spelled that way) primers. Does anyone know how old they might be and if they would still be good to use? The boxes and the primers are in like new condition.

  • Will my power supply run this system?

Here's what I have right now.

    Asus P8277 Pro Z77

    Intel I7 3770K 3.5GHZ

    ASTEK 510 LC 120mm watercooler

120GB OCZ Agility 3 SATA III SSD

WD 2 TB Caviar Black SATA 6.0GB HD

    LG 12x BLU-RAY DVDRW Combo

    16 GB Kingston DDR3 1600mhz

    Nvidia GTX 680

All this is powered by a Corsair CMPSU 850 TX. My son just got a GTX 780 so he gave me his Nvidia GTX 680 video card. My question is will my system run that second GTX 680 on the 850 watt power supply? Any advice will be welcome. I have already installed the second card with an SLI cable and configured it. But I haven't pushed it yet gaming so i'm not sure what will happen when the power demand goes up. Thanks.

  • Did anyone else read this sad story?

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/05/01/1800068... This is a perfect example of why some idiots shouldn't be allowed to own guns. Who in their right mind would buy a gun for a five year old. As if that's not bad enough they leave it out so he can play with it! Then they claim..,. we didn't know it was loaded. Now this poor little boy has to grow up knowing his little sister got killed because he had idiot parents. It's so sad it's enough to make you want to cry.

  • Pre ban Colt AR 15 HBAR Questions?

A friend called me a bit ago with a gun for sale. He says it's a Colt pre ban AR 15 HBAR with an A2 buttstock (he said it looks just like an M 16 from the Vietnam era) and no forward assist. I'm not really familiar with Colt AR's so I thought i'd see if anyone has a clue as too value. The no forward assist and HBAR kind of throws me because the only one's I see like that were military AR's. He couldn't remember if it has a shell deflector as he hasn't even shot it in over 15 years. And I can't get a model # til tomorrow because it's in a gun safe at his moms house. He's offering it to me for $2500.00 with 5 magazines and 2 1000 round cases of ammo. He claims the gun looks like new and has only had 100 rounds put through it. It sounds like a good deal to me. What you do guys think?

  • Anyone own a Kimber Eclipse Pro II?

I went into a gun shop today for some sights and walked out with a KImber Eclipse Pro II. I had been thinking about getting one and to my surprise there one was! Does anyone here own one? If so do you like it and have you had any problems with it? Also what did you pay for yours? The dealer gave me mine for a $1000.00. I'm hoping to get out to shoot it tomorrow. If it shoots as good as it looks i'll be a happy camper.

  • Is there an easy way to disassemble 5.56 ammo belts?

I have 1000 rounds of 5.56 green tip and tracer in belts that were made to feed S.A.W.'s. Does anyone know of an easy way to break them down(besides running them through a SAW lol)? It's kind of slow and tedious pushing them out of the links. Thanks in advance.

  • You ever had a brain fart?

I asked this earlier today but thought i'd post it again to see if anyone else had any thoughts. First things first though, last night while under the influence of too much alcohol I answered a question and said the an M14 fired 30.06 Springfield. Duh! I know better but like I said I had a brain fart. My apologies to you all, especially the asker. Now I have a question for you fine folks. I want another upper for my AR. I was thinking of either a 6.5 Grendel,6.8 Rem or a 300 Blackout. This will be a hog buster gun. I want something that can reach out quite a ways. Here in Texas some shots can be fairly long range. I'm leaning toward the 300 for the reason of being able to form cases from .223/5.56 brass(brass availability is a biggie, although it was pointed out to me earlier that the Blackout isn't a good long range round). So if any of you that have fired any of these cartridges could give me your opinions i'd appreciate it. I'd like opinions on the best barrel length from those of you with experience using any of those calibers( I was thinking of going with a 24" barrel). Also if any of you have hand loaded any of these are there any things to be concerned about? Such as short case life, finicky about powder types, etc. Thanks in advance.

  • Is Catamite Newell reincarnated?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ai53t...

I tried to open this question but I was blocked so I looked at Catamites join date and this name was created on the 17th. Newell is the only person on here that has me blocked to my knowledge so I figured it must be him.

  • What do you think would happen?

A soldier takes an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign or domestic. They also swear to obey the orders of the president. But what do you think would happen if it was the president that was violating our constitution? This trampling of our 2nd amendment rights is clearly violating our rights to my way of thinking. So my question is, what do you think would happen if the government actually tried to confiscate weapons from the American people? Do you think military would obey an order like that? To stay in the guidelines, what is your favorite wild game to eat? Mine is Elk.

  • Colt 1911 MKIV Series 70 ejection problem?

My Colt 1911 .45 acp is denting cases on ejection(not all, just some). It does it with factory ammo and my hand loads. Some are flattened and some will crease on the case mouth. They are striking the bottom of the ejection port as best as I can tell.I have checked the extractor tension and the ejector looks fine. The only other thing I can think of is possibly the recoil spring needs replacing. Currently is has a 16 # spring. I was thinking maybe an 18 # spring might help. I don't want to modify the ejection port. Anyone else have any ideas?
