7 AnswersBiology7 years agoWhat European cathedral has a very large "credo" "spero" "amo" on the floor?
It's Latin for "I believe," "I hope," "I love." I once read that it was on the floor of the Boulogne Cathedral, but I don't know if that's right.

2 AnswersOther - Europe9 years agoTotal Hereditary Depravity?
This question is for Calvinists and those who believe in the doctrine of Total Depravity (the "T" in TULIP).
Since a Christian has this depravity removed (or at least the curse of it), how does his children still inherit it if they were born after he was converted?
The Westminster Confession of Faith states, “They (Adam and Eve) being the root of all mankind, the guilt of this sin was imputed, and the same death in sin and corrupted nature conveyed to all their posterity, descending from them by ordinary generation. From this original corruption, whereby we are utterly indisposed, disabled, and made opposite to all good, and wholly inclined to all evil, do proceed all actual transgressions.”
It is inherited from your parents who inherited from their parents all the way up to Adam and Eve. But, how can you inherit something that is removed?

Does a Christian have this depravity removed at conversion? And if a Christian has his depravity removed, how does his children still inherit it if they were born after he was converted? If we can inherit the total depravity from our parents, why can’t we inherit the righteous nature from our parents?

Critics of intelligent design often claim that design advocates don’t publish their work in appropriate scientific literature.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoConfusion within the scientific community concerning the theory of evolution?
"There does seem to be a general agreement that evolution 'happened' and is 'happening', but no one seems to have a very clear idea as to exactly how evolution works. While reading these quotes, I think that many will get a sense that even those who are in the know and who ardently believe that evolution happens are still unclear about exactly how it happens. This is interesting because the general public has been led to believe that the very process of evolution is clearly understood by the scientific community."
