  • What do you think about our baby boy names?

We are having a very hard time coming up with boy names! Here's some that we've thought about.... what do you think?

    Christopher Aiden

    John Aiden

    John Christopher Aiden

    Lucas Aiden

    John Lucas

We also like Vincent, Ian, Titus, Benjamin.... but have no idea about middle names.

John is both of our granddad's names so it would be cool to use but doesn't have to be.

Which (if any) of these names do you like and middle name combos would you use?

    Thanks!

  • How far is too far for an ob/gyn?

I'm in the process of finding a new ob/gyn (recently moved). I'm wondering.... how far away is too far away when traveling for an ob/gyn? I'd like to go to the one my sister went to in another town, but it is a longish drive. I wouldn't mind the drive for regular visits, but it might be too far if I'm going into labor or need the doc asap. Thoughts?

  • Religious Monuments in Government Offices?

In the past decade, there's been a lot of discussion about people putting the 10 Commandments in government buildings. I understand there are some arguments about separation of church and state.

    My question:

Would you be offended by a historical monument showing the laws/thoughts from different religions and cultures that were brought into our laws? If it showed more than just Jewish & Christian views? Would you be offended it if had specific quotes from the Torah, Koran, Bible & other religious documents?

  • Baby names...hard K/C sounds?

Our last name is Krampf (said like Cramp but with an f on the end... it's German)

Some of my favorite baby names begin with K's and C's. Would this be too much??

    Examples:

    Katherine

    Christopher

I plan on giving them easy middle names that don't start with C/K so if they don't like it they can go by their middles.... but I love those two names!

  • How to deliver a 2 weeks notice?

My husband has a new job and we're getting to move back home. Now I have to quit my job.

I have my 2 weeks notice all typed out and ready to give to my boss.

Am I supposed to deliver it to him and hang around? Mail it? Just put it in his work mailbox?

Anyway I think about it, it's going to be extremely awkward.

  • Help for wrist pain while doing Yoga?

I have major pain while doing any yoga poses with my hands on the floor and my wrists bent (downward dog is a tough one).

    1. Is this normal?

    2. Is there a technique that I could try to help this not hurt so bad...or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

    3. I am overweight... do I just need to put these particular yoga poses on hold until I've lost some pounds?

    Thanks

  • Was Jesus a bad Christian?

I mean this to be more of a thought provoking question on how Christians define "a good Christian", not making fun of Jesus at all.

Matthew 21/Mark11 He overturned tables inside the temple and kicked people out of the building.

He frequently told church leaders what they were doing wrong. (woe to you scribes and pharisees...etc)

This whole "Jesus meek and mild" girly man ideal that people throw out there is just ridiculous. Where do people get the idea that Jesus was a wuss?

  • Wedding Etiquette: Step-Mother?

I'm not sure how to handle a particular situation involving step parents at my upcoming wedding.

I'm planning on giving a special something to the grooms mom & my mom, but I'm not sure what to do with my step-mom. She's not really been a mother figure to me... she and my dad married when I had already left the house and honestly I don't know her that well... but I don't want to leave her out... but I don't want our mothers to feel like I'm raising her up to their level either... It's kinda awkward.

    Thoughts??

  • Blue Shoes for Wedding?

    Hello!

I'm trying to find some blue shoes to wear for my wedding. I'm trying to find some similar to a Royal Blue or David's Bridal's Horizon Blue.

I'd like some shorter heals or flats. I don't want to be taller than my groom.

Also, no peep toes... I just don't like those.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've searched through about all the google images I can handle.

  • Christians: What does your church teach about this?

I know what I believe on this matter, I'm just curious to see how other church groups handle it.

What does your church teach about the sinfulness of alcohol? I know what the verses say. I know people have differing opinions, and for the purposes of this question, I'm not too worried about those things. I just want to know what the churches are teaching/preaching.

    What I've come across is:

    a) Drinking any alcohol at all is a sin

    b) You can drink alcohol, but getting drunk is a sin

    c) Supporting a place that sells alcohol is sinful (ie restaurants, stores, etc)

    d) Drinking alcohol in any amount is ok

    e) As long as you stay within the limits of the city/states law, you are not in sin

    What does your church teach?

  • Fellow Christians: Why?

    Dear Fellow Christians,

As I go through R&S and see some of the questions/answers, I see a lot of us trying to convince non believers through faith and the Bible. Not to say using these are wrong, but can you not see that your faith and the Bible are not proof to them at all.

How about using other methods, data, information, reasons, etc in your answers along with your faith and Bible verses?

I'm just not understanding what's so hard about that. I mean if they ask for verses, go for it! But when they are asking "why do you believe in God", "how do you know God is real", etc... just saying because the Bible says so isn't going to cut it.

    Just a thought.
