  • Help! Do you know this book?

It was a children's book and the setting was in Asia. There was a poor boy who loved to draw, but his parents couldn't afford to buy him paintbrushes and paper. So he got a job delivering food. One day, he delivered food to a very rich man having a party, and was waiting outside to be paid, when he noticed that there were horses. He started drawing them in the dirt with a stick, and when the rich man came out, he noticed how good the sketch was. He paid the boy and told him to return the next day. The next day, when the boy got to the house, the man gave him drawing supplies. When the boy got older, the emperor heard of his talent and summoned him to be a palace artist. But the only thing the boy would draw was horses. His horses were so realistic, his colleagues said that they looked like they could jump right off the paper. Then one day, a warrior came to him and asked him to paint a horse that would never drink eat, or get tired, and be able to run so fast his hooves didn't touch the ground. So the boy did, and it came to life, and the warrior took the horse to fight his enemies. They won lots of battles, but the horse became sad because of all the dead horses in the battlefield. So it ran away to the boy and jumped into a painting of horses on the wall.

Does anyone know the author or title?

    Thanks =]

  • Does anyone know what book this is?

The book was about a girl who was the town slut because she dated guys, gave them blow jobs, and then dumped them. Then one day she dumped this guy and he got all angry at her, so she pretended she knew this guy and was like "hey Walker". She only called him that because he walked all around town all the time. So she ran to him and was like 'just play along', and he did. They eventually become friends, and he helps her figure out her self esteem issues. Then she finds out that he is a loner because he was pulling out of his driveway and accidentally killed his older sister's child who was like three. So then the ex of the girl started getting back at her for dumping him by flirting with her little sister. And then he raped the girl [town slut]. I can't remember the ending though.

So does anyone know this book? or the author?

    Thanks! =]

  • Girls, what would you want a significant other to call you?

What nick name would you want a significant other to call you?

How would you want them to say it?

When would you want said person to use it? i.e. when you are angry with them, or when you guys are alone? ;]

Mine would be 'baby-love', but he'd have to whisper it really low in my ear. ;D

    What about yours?

  • Do you believe in alternate dimensions?

Has anyone read the Withern Rise series by Michael Lawrence? "A Crack In The Line", "Small Eternities" and "Underwood See"? If you haven't, the main theme is that a separate dimension is created every time a decision is made about your life. During conception, when you became a girl, a separate dimension was created for a boy to be born and vice versa. You both grew up in virtually overlapping worlds, and every time you made a decision, your alternate self made the opposite. And if there was more than two decisions to be made, another alternate dimesion would be created with another alternate self making the decision you did not. All this occurs without you having the slightest knowledge of it. Let's take you for example; You clicked the link, read the question, but there was an alternate dimension created for your alternate self, because said alternate self did not click the link. This happens for every decision made about your life.

So what do you guys think about that?

And also, if you haven't read the books, I seriously urge you to get them.

    "Crack In the Line"

    "Small Eternities"

and apparently the author, Micheal Lawrence, wrote a new one called "Underwood See". I can't wait to get it! =]

  • Do you ever think about the person on the other side?

When you are sitting in your room, say reading a book, do you ever stop to think that there might be a person on the other side of the world or maybe down the street who's doing the exact thing as you? When you answer questions on Yahoo Answers, do you think about the person who typed it up? Do you ever picture them in your head? Do you sometimes think about the children who die every second while you were sitting there playing video games or whatever? And I'm not saying it's wrong, only asking; do you ever try to put yourself in another person's shoes? Do you ever think about the business woman who seem to have the perfect life, only to go home and be abused by her husband? Or the principal who seems to love to keep students after school for detention, only to go home to loneliness and silence? Or the boy who is the star of the football team, but has to eat at a soup kitchen most nights? What about the girl who is the most popular and has all the things she could ever want, but has no real friends because she is scared of being let down?

    ~

I feel like as society, we should take it upon ourselves to care for each other. As I sit here, I hope anyone who reads this is enlightened by this question, even if it's only a little, because then I know I've done something good in this world. And hopefully I've inspired you to do something good in this world, too, even if it's something small.

  • What is this song called?

I think it's from the 70's -80's and some of the lyrics are

    "Do you believe in miracles?

Well I have a feeling it's time to try..." or something like that. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

  • Would you get this surgery? What would you think if someone got it?

My friend once said he wanted to get his tongue forked. I don't know if he was serious or not. What do you guys think about that? Do you find it attractive? Anyone have one? If so, what happens if you stretch the forks too far apart in opposite directions? Would it rip or tear? Would it be a little difficult to make the same sounds in speech [like 'l'] after you got the surgery? I feel like if you were making out with someone with a forked tongue, their tongue would be all over. Not that this is a bad thing, just a little weird. Anyone agree? Sorry there's so many questions. Thanks for the insight. =]

  • Does any one do this? sometimes?

I was wondering if you sometimes google the people you are infatuated with. It's probably not that big a deal, unless you are actually stalking the person. How often do you do it; for every person you like or just every now and then? Do you seriously search every document that may mention their name or just read the first couple results? Tell me about it! =]

  • When gay and lesbian couples get married illegally, do they wear their wedding rings on their right hand?

This question isn't meant to offend anyone, I was just wondering. Considering that gay and lesbian marriage isn't legal in all states, do they sometimes do this as a symbol? [A form of rebellion? lol] This is just from personal observations, I could be totally wrong. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks!
