  • Blue Wilderness cat food, what is your experience or opinion on this?

It says high protein, low carb, holistic.

High quality protein for high energy - deboned chicken, chicken meal, fish meal.

Healthy complex carbohydrates for lasting endurance - sweet potatoes, oatmeal & potatoes.

Fruits and Vegtables for antioxidant enrichment - cranberries, blueberries & carrots.

Just wondering what you thought about this food, or what your experiences were. Thanks. :-)

  • Canned food and Bisphenol-A (BPA), what do you think about this?

I have 2 special needs cats, one has HCM, the other is prone to crystals, both male, both neutered. The HCM cat, grade 2, is 21 months old, weighs 20 lbs, is a big built MC/RD, but could stand to lose a couple of lbs, the judges are starting to tell me this. The crystal cat is 4 yrs old, and this started when he was 1 yr old.

In doing alot of research, and bugging alot of people with alot of questions, trying to find the right food, it seems canned food would be the best for them.

But read this article in the September 2008 issue of Cat Fancy, titled Dangerous Chemical? page 35, and now I am concerned about feeding canned food.

The crystal cat just got over another bout, my vet had him on SD for a month, and now has him on CD. The HCM cat is on Hills Adult Indoor, was getting CD too, until my vet took him off that, and salt intake is a concern for him too.

Until I can figure out which canned food to give each one, they are fed seperate, they are both on dry. But to further confuse me, in my search, I was concerned about the BPA and canned food, and wondered what your thoughts and experiences are. Appreciate your help. :-)

P.S. I also have a 4 yr old female, spayed, that has no issues, at all, and is getting the Indoor Cat too. All 3 are show cats, indoor only, and not declawed. Never posted before, so hope this comes out right. :-)
