  • html+css, two side-by-side divs?

    I have a webpage which needs to have two 'panels' side-by side.

    The left panel, which contains an image which could be anywhere from 600px to 650px wide and a right panel which contains a heading, followed by some text. The image inside the left panel limits its minimum size to around 625px. The right hand text-containing panel I would like to have a minimum width of around 300px, which I thought was accessible through the min-width property. If I remove the first <div>, leaving only the right hand panel it functions as it should, but with both, the right hand panel's text gets squashed against the picture if you resize the window.

    My current code is:

    <div id='container'>

    <div style='float:left; width:auto;'>

    <img src='http://image.jpg'/ title='title'/>

    </div>

    <div style='min-width:300px;'>

    <h3>Heading</h3>

    <p>Text</p>

    </div>

    </div>

  • nvidia gtx470 power supply?

    I am considering buying a gtx470 as an upgrade for my computer (currently has a geforce 8800gts) and need some advice regarding the power supply.

    Computer's main specs:

    • Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 - 2.40GHz

    • ABIT IN9 32X-MAX Wi-Fi

    • Cooler Master Real Power M620

    • XFX GeForce 8800 GTS rev2 - 512mb

    • 2gb DDR2 ram (2 x 1gb)

    • 1 x DVD-RW

    • 2 x 500Gb Hdd's

    Power Supply info: http://bit.ly/c3Wf30

    As far as I know the gtx470 has two six-pin power connectors (12V). From the sticker on the side of the PSU box all of the six pin 12V power connectors are rated at 19A. As the 470 has two power connectors I'm a little unsure on how to work out the total watts supplied to the card... based on reviews and such I've seen it requires somewhere between 340 and 400 in total, but I'm not totally sure.

    The specific gtx470 I'm thinking of getting is here: http://bit.ly/c6yphl

    Would my current power supply be adequate for the gtx470 or will I need to upgrade it?

  • How can I connect a scart to a PC?

    I have a wireless video sender that sends video from the sky+ box downstairs to a (now broken) TV upstairs. I was wondering if there's a way to get Windows Media Center to "stream" the video through through a tuner card.

    something like this:

    Sky+ box =>Scart =>Wireless Sender - - ->Wireless Receiver=>Scart=>Scart to something converter=>Tuner Card=>PC

    if I did this would it work?, for example if you plug a normal sky box into a TV's aerial socket the TV will display the picture from the sky box on channel a specific channel. would this work in this case too, or would I need to do something else?

  • can an nvidea 8800GTS by XFX and another 8800GTS by PoV be used in Sli?

    I am trying to upgrade from a single card ( XFX nVidea 8800 GTS 512mb ) to two 8800Gts's - i can't find another XFX 8800 gts card that uses the g92 core only the 640mb 8800 by xfx which uses the g80 core, which means they cant be used in Sli - however i have found a "Points of View" 8800 gts 512 with a g92 core. Iv got 2 questions about this, 1) are "points of view" a trusted card manufacturer? and 2) will the 2 cards from the two different companies work in Sli?

  • Visual Basic 6.0 Help?

    I am Stuck on VB 6.

    I am trying to get it to (when I click a button) edit a .WTF file, to read "set realmlist <server address>" and then save it, and then run a program

    I would also then like to know if it is possible to make it so I could type the server text into a textbox or mabe a combo box next to a button so you could use custom ones aswell as preset ones, like you type the server address in and click a button to save the WTF file as "set realmist "user defined server address"

    i do know how to run the program with the shell command. Its the editing the WTF file I cant seem to do.
