My little girl will be 4 in Jan. she has always been VERY emotional even as a small baby and despite my best efforts every little thing that is said or done turns into a whining fit followed by constant screaming. I realize ages 3 and 4 are suppose to be the worst but things are getting worse before they get better.

I thought that preschool may help but she just learned new bad behaviors from the other kids haha I have a 10 month old who is almost at the age where she will pick up on the older girls actions so i'm kinda in a hurry. She is a VERY smart little girl and understands everything is told and the consequence but doesn't seem to care.

Strict time outs didn't work for more than a day

distracting her with something new only wastes time until the she tries the same thing again.. if it even works

and ignoring her causes a complete break down

What are your experiences with mirena? good or bad? Are the strings a pain in the you know what? My dr. is really riding me hard to get mirena and the few things I've heard don't make it seem that great.

Ladies with babies, or who have had babies..

I hate electric Breast Pumps, I've had horrible luck with them with my last 2 children so with my 3rd I'm going manual and was hoping to get some suggestions for good pumps?? I've researched online and every pump has mixed reviews. I don't want to spend a lot of money because this is my last child and I usually only breast feed for a couple months.

With my last 2 children I've always warmed my babies bottles. But I remember the hospital having pre-made enfamil bottles that you just opened and gave to the baby at room temp.

Do you, or do you think, making (formula) bottles at room temp. really has any effect on the baby?

I have a 2 yr old little girl who just recently started having some bad breath. Has anybody else had this experience? what did you do? Did you find out why?

My daughter has pretty white teeth, no discoloration, no cavities, all of her teeth except for one molar have come in, and I brush her teeth twice a day with toddler tooth paste that is safe to swallow, and I keep her tooth brushes clean and new.

I hate to pay to take her to the dentist again if there is something I can do. thanks for any advice in advance!!

My daughter is 2 years old. She is very into being a big girl and going on the potty.. However, she has trouble being able to poop in the potty and will hold it in until she becomes constipated. She wants to and does try but says " can't try" or " doesn't work".

She sleeps in a diaper at night and wants the diaper off first thing in the morning to start going on the potty .. she will not wear a diaper or pull up until time to get into bed.

We've done a great job getting her into peeing in the potty.. with stickers, surprises, and lots of encouragement but it just isn't working with pooping.

any experience you may have had with this.. or suggestions are welcome.. Thanks in Advance

My 2 yr old has been hitting and pinching and yelling a lot lately and nothing we do seems to help.. so i'm starting the ping pong ball in a bowl method but I would like to find some signs that would show her the rules.. like no hitting.. no yelling etc. and I'm not a good artist

My daughter is 2 and has recently been very into hitting and pinching, even when she isn't mad. I'm expecting another baby in December and want to enforce some rules and promote some gentle activities before the new baby comes.

Is Having a written list of rules, maybe with a star or sticker system for doing well and consequences for breaking the rules, asking too much for a 2 yr old to understand?

I have been trying to potty train my daughter ( 28 months) for a couple weeks now. She understands peeing and pooping in the potty and does a good job.. but after 2-3 weeks of peeing in the potty she still cries when she has to sit on the potty and waits as long as possible to go. She will not poop in the potty yet.

Has anybody had experience with children crying, even screaming or tantrum when they have to go? and how do you make the transition to pooping in the potty? My daughter will hold it for days and become constipated if she cannot poop in a potty.

Any help you can offer would be great.. past experience is better!!

Ok, I am due to have my second baby in December. We have recently moved 4 hours away from all of our family and friends to a small town with few doctors ( though I do have one here) and a horrible hospital. I hate the idea of having our baby here and not being able to have a lot of family with us at that time. My mother is very sick with cancer and cannot travel this far. I get to schedule a c-section and would like to do it on her birthday ( a few days before my due date)

How can I have my baby in the hospital where our families live with out having to travel back home every month, and then every week, so see a dr. there??

I just finished 10 days on provera. I was hoping someone knew about how long it takes to get your period after taking it?

and does provera give you a full cycle with ovulation or just a period? or do you have to take clomid to ovulate for sure?

How is Carpel Tunnel Diagnosed? Is it a blood test, evaluation, x-ray or a combination of the above?

I've had pain in my wrist and 3 fingers for a while now but I blew it off as just being sore from playing with my children, or yard work or whatever but now it's bad. I just saw my dr. 2 weeks ago and forgot all about it when I was there. so now I don't know if I should just call and ask for blood work or what have you, or if I'll have to be seen again.
