  • Is/Are God(s) Atheist Themselves?

This is a conceptual question I've had for a while. I'm not trying to make an attack on atheism, nor any form of religion, but here is the question:

Atheism is the belief that there is no God. Now taking in a perspective of what a God is, which is basically the creator of everything. Video game programmers/designers in a sense can create virtual words, and create artificial intelligence, so they are technically "gods" of their little computerized world, yet in reality they can themselves be atheist. Simply because they don't believe in a higher power that created them. So what I'm asking is if there is/are a God(s) is it possible that they are atheistic themselves?

  • Not Showing a Charging Laptop Battery?

Alright, my predicament is a bit unusual. I've spent the past week trying to figure out what to do with my laptop battery because it is plugged in. It charges perfectly fine, but my operating system (Windows Vista, and 7, I tried on both Windows products.) Does not pick up that it's actually plugged in. Only that it accepts a charge, and decharges like normal. For a visual demonstration, lets say I have a laptop, not plugged in -- it decharges like normal, and shows the battery icon. Then I would go to plug it in. I plug in my charger, and it starts charging, will go back up to 100% full, yet the computer itself doesn't pick up on the fact that it's charging. It still thinks it is on battery, but still gaining a charge. This is leading me to think it's a problem with the battery, and I could possibly need to buy a new one. Yet on my main operating system, Ubuntu (I dual boot them on the same computer.) Everything works normal, the laptop picking up on battery, and charing properly and not. The main reason I'm stating this is simply because I do play all the DirectX based games on my Windows partition, and still do game development, and learning C++ and C# on the Windows side -- for reasons because the majority of computer players run on Windows. After realizing that on Ubuntu my batter is picked up perfectly fine it's lead me to think that possibly it's a problem with some sort of software within Windows that's flawed, or possibly damaged -- possibly by a virus or something other. Anyways, has anyone else ever encountered this issue, and do you know how to fix it?

  • Simple Equation Help?

I feel slightly embarrassed asking this question, even on a Question and Answer site such as this. Basically I'm in my final year of high school, taking a College Algebra class, worth dual credit High school and College. I've understood everything because it's been a giant review, but one little thing always gave me problems, and the teacher never went over exactly how to solve this.

    A simple problem like: (x-4)^(2/3)=25

    http://www.myalgebra.com/math_image.aspx?p=(x-4)SM...

Basically, fractional exponents confuse me, when there is an added variable, and a number to be set equal to on the other side. It's just something small that's slipped my memory, but if it's not too much trouble could someone work it out step-by-step so I can see exactly how it's supposed to work?

  • A Question About The Bible?

Where in the Bible does it say that the Bible is an eternal book, that it can never be changed, that it can never be altered, and that Jesus' name is a name above all names and can not be mistranslated.

I'm curious to ask, because I believe in the teaching of Christ as it was depicted back in the old ways which was written before the first English translation ever came around. I believe in God, Yeshua, the Watchers, and Nephilim, and all the stuff that was said in the original Bible, not what we have in our Bibles today. (I'm referring to translations of the corrupt King James Version and further on. Pretty much any English Bible.)

I know the books are vastly different from then, and now. I know so many people have fell under the hate that the Bible actually says stuff against homosexuality, against the definition of marriage, and so many other more controversial issues today. I've read and I know that Jesus' name, Yeshua, only came about because of mistranslations, and because the "Y" in Hebrew is closely similar to the "J" in English. I've came to the realization that books of the Bible have been taken out, that passages have been re-written, and not for easier understanding in English from the old wording, because I know certain verses have been deliberately changed, in order to provoke hate and dislike among people who this religion is supposed to love and cherish.

My main question of all this is, why is it Christianity has became corrupt, why is it people believe (The modern version.), why is it when ever I say, have proof, and bring proof to people about how the biblical text has been changed, and what they believe is not what was originally said, why is it I'm just put down as being against God? Why has modern Christianity became nothing more then a festering pool of bigotry? I realize that it may just of been the way they were brought up in life, the teaching of modern corrupt Christianity, but why is it people will go on under the teaching of the Bible, which has been changed, and proven to be changed, to provoke more dislike among people. Instead of the original Bible, which was filled with love.

  • Jesus or Yeshua Which is Correct?

Okay, I know the false name of "Jesus" was created from a mis-transliteration from Herbrew into Greek, then later from Greek into English, from the proper name of Yeshua, which was the birth name of who in the Christian faith is called Jesus.

I'm curious, why is it even though Jesus is a false name, came about because of a mis-translation, why is it so many people call him that, and don't even refer to his true name?

  • Motivation to Keep Studying Japanese?

So, for the last 4 years. By means of online classes, to personal studying, to having Japanese friends tutor me. I've been studying the Japanese language. And I am, or was, planning on taking the first two levels of the JLPT this December depending on how ready I think I am. Which I thought I was for a while. I could carry online conversations with Japanese friends with out needing to resort to a dictionary, or an online translator anymore. I could play online games in Japanese, and could finally watch anime with out subtitles. Lol. And I've been working on increasing my vocabulary further lately in school, by taking my notes in Japanese, and anything that will not be graded by the teacher, would all be in Japanese, so I could practice more advanced terms. Like chemistry, or political terms, since I figure I will need to know them eventually, might as well as get them over with now. Well, after stating at the beginning of this semester, my political science teacher told the entire class that she "Will do periodic checks on our notebooks, check to make sure we keep track, and orderly, of our notes, homework, tests/quizs, and notes. And that for the notes, as long as we understand them, and we can use them for our own study. Then it will be alright." So I figured it would be alright to write it in Japanese. The students in my class know I do, and so did the teacher, as I thought. Till today, she did a random notebook check. And decided to call me to the front of the class, make a mockery of me stating "How am I suppose to read this gibberish? This is total BS that you do this. I can't read this gibberish, and I know that you are just making this up. Read this out loud to me in English." It took me a second to read over it to recite it, because it was taken around 4 months ago. And with Japanese being a "vague" language, as some put it. It took me a couple seconds to start reading it outloud back in English, because I had to re-read it. And since once a subject is stated in a paragraph, its unneeded to be stated again, I had to read back to the top to get the point of the notes. And then I read it outloud word-for-word. And she stated since "I couldn't read it off the top of my head, that I was making it all up, its total BS that I could try and pull off that kind of gibberish, and I deserve an F". Well this completely broke my trust of ability to want to keep studying. I mean, should I? If I'm going to just be ridiculed about my own abilities.

  • Japanese Vocabulary Study?

When studying a foreign language, what is a good way to memorize literally, "everything" you've ever learned? I've been studying Japanese for the last 3, almost 4 years. I have a very good understanding of the grammar, and I can hold long lengthy conversations with people in Japanese. But my problem is, I'm limited by the small amount of vocabulary I have, which is only a couple thousand words. I know enough to *hopefully* pass the N5 of the JLPT this coming December, but, afterward, for the next 4 higher level's, I'll need to memorize, literally tens of thousands of vocabulary words, just to pass. And I'm curious what are some good ways to just plain and simple, absorb thousands of words into my brain. I know its time, and repetitive practice does a lot of good. But just from everyday use, and the occasional memorization spree is all that sticks with me, I do know a lot of vocabulary, but I do need to know more, I'm just wondering anyone fluent in another language, particularly Japanese, knows what is a way to memorize the vast amount of words.

  • A decent Japanese MMORPG?

Alright, I was looking for a small mmorpg, in Japanese. Yes I speak Japanese, I can understand, I know some Japanese slang, and gaming talk. And I was curious on what would be some decent mmo's in Japanese? I know Japan isn't really popular with large games like "World of Warcraft" for example, but for a game is there any decent mmo's like マビノギ or ラペルズ, I'm just looking for something new.

  • Society Views on Homosexuality?

I've often wondered this, what is it about society (Mainly here in America). That causes such a diverse opinion over homosexuality. I know religion plays a big factor in this opinion, with Christianity stating "No man shall lie with another man as he lie with a woman", which can be viewed in more ways then just homosexuality as viewed today, but I'm not wanting to start a religious debate here. But I've often wondered, if you were to take the religious aspect of this point of opinion, why is it there is such a big diverse view over homosexuality? I've often wondered, if we were to live in a parallel dimension, where homosexuality was "normal", and being heterosexual was "different", would it be reversed, but what I'm overall asking is why is it, not paying mind to the religious aspect of this, why do people have such a diverse view over homosexuality, because overall it is the exact same as heterosexuality except for the fact that its two of the same sex.

  • Getting Back Hacked World of Warcraft Account.?

Okay the other day my WoW account got hacked and got merged with a Battle.net account. So I contacted Blizzard giving account information, name, email address, and the 3 authentication keys used for the activations of the expansion packs of the games. Its only been one day, and I know it will probably take a while, But is this enough to get my account back? Or would It be smarter to call them and sort things out that way? Or did I get sufficient information?
