5 AnswersOther - Society & Culture4 weeks agoI am scared of older adults, I feel intimidated ?
I am 22 years old, with ASD I have been experienced getting bullied and being intimidated by older adults.
I keep having a lot of older women giving me dirty looks and I had ones who have been saying really nasty things about me.
I had ones who treated me differently than other adults.
I am scared especially on the road when im driving, I dont care if people beep at me but I had one incident today, the guy parked his vehicle where you pump your tyres, as I let this other guy go I drove into the parking space but when before I parked he deeped at me and then after I parked up to wait for my mum his wife got out of the car and I was felt reallt scared she said to me " we were waiting" i said to " i didn't know I am really sorry" at this petrol station I know this place well and the staff too and the lady just walked off and the way I said sorry i was panicking because I was scared if she was going to be nasty, then I cried and as she came out the petrol station she saw me crying because I was scared and she gave me a dirty look. We make mistakes, I always look around my surroundings and I never been that disrespectful and I thought he was parked up. I always got been told that don't driving get you down.
I am scared of older adults and I feel like they are bullies.

10 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits1 month agoThis is considered young?
I am 22 years old, I have got ASD and I am just wondering that am I still considered young.
Basically, I met this guy through one of my closet male friends(he was 18) when I was 17 and he was 19, we had small talks, a year later until when I was 19 or 20 when I and my closet male friend always go into the supermarket (Sainsbury's) just to get snacks and stuff before having our lunch and him and his mate talk when he was in the shopfloor and whenever my mate goes into Sainsbury's. I have seen this guy around in Sainsbury's before he left last year ago.
Years later before Christmas and after my 22nd birthday, he added me on Facebook then a couple of weeks later I suddenly recognize him from my male mate and communicating more. He said he really likes me and wants to have a date with me after we get to know each other and I feel happy emotion.
I wish I should exchange this number at the time when I was 17-20 years old. I was with my ex from when I was 20- 21 (last year he dumped me) how I met my ex was through social media which I kept the secret part from my family and I met him with my other male mate and he knows my ex btw I was 19 and he was 25 when we first met.
I did a big massive mistake, I feel like everything is too late for me and I feel like I am not young. If we ever get together I feel like we are not a young couple. I hate delaying myself.

I am 22 y/o, I have got Autism Spectrum Disorder (I was diagnosed in year 6). I feel like it is BS, I found this source online from someone who I got been put on that gluten free and dairy free diet just to improve my autism and never I have realised that it is a fake treatment, I am on dairy free because I am dairy torlent because of my body)and they sent me this page saying that Don't eat soy ever ever ever ever ever ever.
New research has shown that despite being marketed as a healthy alternative, soybean oil, America’s most popular oil, causes neurological changes in the brains of mice, and may contribute to autism and dementia in humans.
From Alzheimer’s to autism
The study is published in Endocrinology, a scientific journal, and it shows that when soybean oil is fed to mice it has major impact on their hypothalamus, an area of the brain crucial for regulating mood and behaviour.
Do you think Soy is bad for autism?
I personally believe it is BS.
3 AnswersOther - Diseases2 months agoDo you think I am too to start cheerleading and go back to gymnastics again ?
I am 22 years old, I use to do gymnastics from the age of 14 to 16, reasons why I quit at 16 because I was picked by younger people so thats, why I quit and also some of the girls, were very cold and feel uncomfortable around me because I am different (I've got ASD). I was getting bit too old to join with younger people.
I wish I should go to the adult classes (adult gymnastics class is over 16 and the one I went to is for under 18s).
I did cheerleading twice when I was 12 years old (year 8) only for 2 sessions and then it stopped completely. From year 8 to year 10 before I moved to a special needs school I use to do trampolining and rounders.
From the age of 15 I wanted to take cheerleading classes outside of school but the nearest popular cheerleading clubs based in the gym, hire and in the sports centre is about 20-minute drive from where I live and another one is about 40 minutes drive but getting on the train is about 30 minutes and the travel cost £13.00 for return.
I am now regretting that I wish I should done cheerleading because of part of the experience and enjoyment.
My dad wanted me to join clubs for people with autism and learning disabilities from young kids to 25 year olds (truth yes I do, I have got ASD ) and I didnt want to do that, I wanted to do what I want to enjoy and take part of the enjoyment.
Some clubs out there for cheerleading have adult sessions but I am scared. I've got been told you are too old.
Should I go back or not.
Other - Sports2 months agoI am 22 year old, I want to take a science class, I feel like it is too late. Do you think is it too late to apply college course?
I was in mainstream school from year 7- 10(up till half term October) and I went to a special needs school from year 10- end of year 11 (I've got ASD, I was bullied and new special needs teacher at the time transferred me into special needs school). When I was in special needs school I didnt learn anything much and I was only learning stuff that I have already learned when I was in year 7. In mainstream school I learned a lot, I struggled to understand and focus.
I am now realising that I haven't learned much when I was in special needs school and I feel really guilty, I wish I should learn more stuff as I was in mainstream school.
I just wanted to be a normal youth but I feel like I am not a youth no more, I feel thats it and I cant learn anything.
I don't like being delayed, I just want to do it until it is completed.

I was 19 years old when I first met my ex who was 25 years old at the time, both me and him have got autism(my one is a spectrum and his is mild) and everything went well as friends. I didn't speak to for almost a month because I was planning just to go out for lunch only just me and him (still friends at the time) instead he decided to go behind my back to invite his three guy mates ( they were 25 at the time) and a girl mate (in her early 20s), he text me saying that his girl mate cant comes, his other friend cant comes, this friend is coming and this other friend might come. I was furious and I can remember I was wondering that you should ask me first its ok for you to invite your friends and one of my boy mates (I've got two boy mates still keep in touch from this day)was worried about me because he said to me that is selfish and rude. Then I didn't speak to him for almost a month and then a month later he text me saying hey and then I said to him that "next time, make sure you ask me first before you decide to invite your friends because I dont like people invite their friends if it's ok with me" and he said to me "i dont like that as well and I always ask if its ok" then I brushed it off (stupid me)
Months later he said to me he really likes me and then after my 20th birthday, we went out for a date and then we became official very quickly.

7 AnswersCommunity Service2 months agoI don't understand why is it not easy for me to have autism, What are your thoughts?
I am 22 years old and I was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder when I was 10 years old.
Throughout my school life I went to 6 schools (4 primary, 1 senior and 1 special needs school) because from 2rd to 4th primary schools my parents were trying to find a right school because I was struggling a lot in school with my education, speech and language. 3rd primary school it was school was mixed with mainstream classes and special needs classes, I was put into a special needs class and they had speech and language therapists in the school and I was there for 2 years (year 4 I was the only girl, as most of the students in my class were boys and I didnt want to be in the class with boys and I wanted to be in the mainstream classes with girls). From 4th primary school to employment (including special needs school, first 2-3 months in college) I was bullied, been forgotten, left out and been treated completely differently.
From 4th primary school to senior school I wanted good friendships, unfortunately, I didn't, I have left out alot esp in PE and I didnt want to be left out and forgotten. I can remember when I was in year 10 I wanted to die so badly because of being left out/forgotten/ never been included and I have also hurt myself. When I was in special needs school I was bullied by girls and I was often left out by them.
In 4th primary school I was treated very badly by classmates they asked me if I am Spaz and a retard and they were really horrible to me.
