  • Can I buy my father's property which is in short sale?

    My husband and I live in a home that belongs to my father. We were making payments on the mortgage directly to the lender via our checking acct. and my husband is only on the title. We no longer could make the payments and the value of the home dropped like 100k. So the only choice my father had was to put it in short sale. Can my husband buy it? If not, my husband's brother is interested. Can he buy it?
