  • Dynamic Form Letters Based off Tree Selections in HTML?

    I'd like to create form letters located at the bottom of a tree that are filled in with selections from parent menus. For example:

    -><Specific Product>

    -->OS

    ---> device

    ----> <specific issue>

    -----> <header and/or footer>

    Then end with a dynamically filled completed form letter.

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Hi <customer>,

    Thank you for writing in. Your interest in <OS>'s product for your <device> is well met.

    We can help with <specific issue> this way....

    <dynamic or random footer>

    Sincerely,

    Us.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Is there a page on W3 that shows this? What process am I looking for here? Basically, I'd like to streamline customer interfacing.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

  • How does one insert html form data into an existing table?

    I would like to create a simple form that sends the data to an existing table just below it.

    The table would get an additional row at the top.

    Basically, this is going to be a user-generated data table.

    I'm good with creating the form. I'm good with creating the table. I just can't get the form data to create a new row on the table.

    If possible, I'd like to keep this strictly html. Thank you all, in advance.

  • Components required to create site with own search bar, including tags?

    I'd like to create a simple site that has its own search bar, searching the site's entries. Entries are mostly text, with an image or two on occasion.

    I'd like to incorporate the option to narrow the search using tags attached to the entries.

    Think Craigslist.

    It seems to me that I will need a DB (MySql) and a basic site (HTML, CSS).

    Is there anything else that I'm missing and are there any good Tuts out there for this?

    The more basic, the better. I thank you greatly in advance. :)

  • BitCoin Mining: Pooled vs Local?

    Let's say you're able to run 7.6 Mhash on a GeForce 9500 GT. Would it be better to Pool Mine or to do it Locally?

    If pools are better, would it be better to be on multiple pools?

    GuiMiner? Thoughts?

  • Is There a Basic Router That Has the Capability to Limit Wi-fi Bandwidth?

    I need to limit the bandwidth that is allowed on all wi-fi connections. All my wired connections need to take priority. I'd like to get something that is under $100. This is just for my home office. Nothing fancy. Thanks in advance.

  • How do I add the ability to post article comments on my site?

    I am currently building a site and I'd like for people to be able to post comments on articles and blogs I have there. Is there an online guide someone could direct me to? If it's tremendously easy, would someone help out with what type of script I need to write? Thank you in advance.

  • Why Does My iframe Change Font?

    Here is the code for a simple page:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitiona...

    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml%22%3E

    <head>

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

    <title>Untitled Document</title>

    <style type="text/css">

    <!--

    body {

    color: 696;

    background: #000;

    text-align: center;

    font: "Trebuchet MS", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

    }

    .NewsPage {

    color: #696;

    background: #000;

    font:"Trebuchet MS", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

    text-align: left;

    }

    -->

    </style>

    </head>

    <body class="NewsPage">

    <h3><u>Dec. 24, 2009</u></h3>

    <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Praesent aliquam, justo convallis luctus rutrum, erat nulla fermentum diam, at nonummy quam ante ac quam. Maecenas urna purus, fermentum id, molestie in, commodo porttitor, felis. Nam blandit quam ut lacus. Quisque ornare risus quis ligula. Phasellus tristique purus a augue condimentum adipiscing. Aenean sagittis. Etiam leo pede, rhoncus venenatis, tristique in, vulputate at, odio.jklf</p>

    </body>

    </html>

    But when I access this on another page, the font changes to something like Times New Roman. As I understand it, the parent page shouldn't be able to change font. I just want Trebuchet to transfer over and it's not. Thanks in advance.

    Please be cool about it. I'm just starting off on web site creation.

  • Do I have to report temporary1099 earnings while receiving California Unemployment?

    I am currently receiving unemployment benefits in California. I was offered a position to work for a week under 1099 (independent contractor). I want to know if I need to report it, considering those wages don't apply to unemployment benefits when not on a claim? Also, if I DO have to report it, would this hinder my current claim? Thanks all.

  • How Much Money Can My Friend and His Wife Receive From Her Mom As a Wedding Gift Without Getting Taxed?

  • My Best Friend's Fiancee is Reviving 40K From Her Parents In Mexico. How Can She Receive It With No Taxes?

    Her mother and grandparents are giving her about $40,000. She is opening a business with it. However, she doesn't know whether she should receive it as a gift or as an investment. Only concern is not having to pay taxes on it. She knows of a gift tax after exceeding a limit of $12,000. What she doesn't know is if the three adults can give $11,000 each to avoid it. Also, can it be deducted as an investment to the new company? Lastly, her grandparents are Mexican citizens and her mother is a U.S. citizen.

  • How Can We Change Gov't Without Inciting Treason?

    Most Americans are extremely unhappy with the way the country is being led. Many people before us fled their countries because of oppression.

    Before, when things went awry with taxes and other such items, the people would protest and actually CHANGE things (e.g. The Boston Tea Party).

    Now, if one, so much as, yells too loud at a protest, he/she will be pepper sprayed and/or arrested.

    What would a peaceful solution be to replace the current gov't with a whole new body without inciting treason and getting arrested?

    Or should we all just storm congress? (Yes, I know about the Smith Act)

  • How Do I "Safely" Pass Out My Wife for Sex?

    She wants to fulfill a fantasy of being passed out while I have sex with her. However, I don't want to harm her in the process. I have been told ruffies, ether, holding her neck (ummm..no.), and alcohol. I want her to be out for more that 30 seconds. But not too long. It may freak me out.

    Please don't respond with how I shouldn't do it. Just let me know what is a "safest" way.

  • What is the FULL range of IPs that a D-Link router can crank out?

    Right now, mine is set to a default DHCP range of 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.125

    However, I want to put a wireless game adapter that asks for 192.168.1.250 by default. Will the D-Link give it that address or will it just not connect.

    The reason for the header question, and not the specific 250 IP question, is because I want to know for future reference if I have any other devices with "higher" IPs requested.
