when i was 7, i was molested by my 18 year old half brother. i stayed silent about it for as long as i could until my father told him to leave and never come back. this was 11 years ago but i still have flashbacks every single day. its even harder now that hes commited suicide. anyway i finally opened up to my dad about why ive been depressed lately and he told me im not allowed to be depressed because it happened so long ago, he blew up and turned off the wifi and threatened to turn off everything else. is this abuse?

I am currently 17 turning 18 this year my parents have never let me get a job even though I've been asking since I turn 16 I can drive but they never see to it that I go get my license so I've never had any sense of having anything on my own. my parents are very against me moving out and every time I bring it up they get very upset or emotional and trying to tell me that they will die if I leave. I do have a college fund and studying abroad is some thing I've always wanted to do and when I brought it up to my parents they were crying because they don't want me to leave home. I want to have a sense of self for my parents I feel like are emotionally manipulating me and I would feel guilty if I move out but I know that I need to.

i am currently 17 turning 18 this year. i graduate next may however i am already ahead of the game taking college classes. studying abroad has always been a dream of mine and i just want to get out if of here, even if its temporary. however my father says no. my father says i cant move out until im 29 or have a degree. he says if i move abroad (even tho i assured him it's temporary) he said he would die from missing me. i have never had a job, dont have my liscense, both of my parents have narcissistic guilt tripping tendencies and i am sick of it. am i wrong for wanting to get out? i feel like i need to but i would feel guilty.

if a teenage girl is a normal healthy weight for her height, do you think it would be wrong for dinner if the girl wants olive garden, and the guardian says no because she needs to eat healthier, and needs healthy foods, do you see how that could be a problem for the teen? do you see how that could lead to an eating disorder, escpecially if the teen doesn't eat a lot? when the teen tried to bring that point up to the guardian, she wouldn't listen.

i moved in with my aunt last year. i'm going to be turning 17 pretty soon, and i've always maintained a/b honor roll in school. i've never gotten into big trouble in my life, but for some reason she's disabling the wifi and putting it in "bedtime mode" at 11pm. now if this was a school night i would understand, but the has just started this 2 days ago and it's looking like my school will be shut down for the rest of the academic year due to coronavirus. what's the point of shutting it off when i have no school and no online work?? when school was in session i was always in bed before 10:30.  but we're on a break here so i don't understand, and for some reason she will not reason with me at all! does she not understand that some teenagers get distracted and stay up to wee hours of the night like seriously it's a teenager thing. 

16 year old girl who never goes out is going on vacation with aunt. dad gives girl 50$ to spend on vacation. once on vacation aunt and girl go shopping. girl has already spent 35$ while there, and they arrive at a store and girl sees a pair of 8.99 sunglasses she loves but also wants to buy her dad a hat which also cost 8.99, but she doesn't have enough money for both. aunt tells her to put back the shades but she says she wants to buy the shades and get her dad something from the "everything 1.99" store. (which is right nextdoor) aunt gets very mad, but they go to the discount store. she then sees a shirt she thinks her dad will love for 2$ and the aunt goes off yelling saying how ugly and gross the shirt is, and how the dad won't like it. aunt storms out of store and girl begins to cry at the cash register. the next morning girl asks nicely for aunt to aplogize but she refuses and calls the girl selfish and says she only cried because she wanted attention. who's in the wrong? ps. this is the whole story. this is not a one sided version. this is everything that happened.
