We have about 18 for dinner on a Saturday in a few weeks. A separate room would be great, but not required. Hunan Home's is a possibility. Any suggestions/comments from locals is greatly appreciated!

I will be on vacation in Italy in September, partly in Treviso and most of the time near Bari. I can't seem to find the 2009-10 schedules for either league, and suspect that they have not been released yet. Does anyone know when those would be published? Thanks!

I'll be in Montreal for 5 days in May and need some local input. What's your favorite French restaurant in the city (not too expensive)? I'm considering going to Le Convivial, L'Express, Le Grand Comptoir, Copains Gourmands and others. Any good or bad things to say about any of them? What about the Spanish and Portuguese restaurants? Is Casa Tapas better than Tapeo Bar a Tapas? Marilou or Adega or another choice? I would consider any of your favorites. Please tell me why you like them too. Thanks!

If I have a consultant that gets paid $10,000 in fees and we also reimburse him $2,000 for travel expenses, which of these is correct? I tend to think that neither is wrong.

a. 1099 should be for $10,000. That's the amount that's taxable to them.

b. 1099 should be for $12,000. You're supposed to report ALL payments to independent consultants. It's their responsibility to report the $12,000 on a schedule C, and deduct the $2,000 to arrive at the net $10,000 amount.

My former fave, Spicy City on Convoy in Kearny Mesa, has new ownership, and a terrible new menu. I had eaten there dozens of times before they sold. Where can I get good Gan Bian Chicken and not Americanized Chinese food in the County? Jasmine and Emerald are more dim sum. What else do you like?

Assuming LT, Jackson, Gore & Larry Johnson go first, would you go Addai, Westbrook, Alexander or Parker? I wouldn't take Peyton that high. If Johnson is still there, would you take him over the rest? Thanks!
