  • employer insists on me allowing use of personal phone?

in a nutshell my cell phone like many others is my only link to me. my employer thinks they have the right to insist to use it to contact me. however we also have mobile communication terminals (MCT) which they can use to contact me as well that work all around the country. these mct's are always on 24/7/365. the employer does NOT supplement my income for the use of my phone. my minutes are limited from landlines and frankly im tired of the "we are mightier than god" attitude. would you tell them

    1. if you want to talk to me provide a phone

    2. if you want to talk to me pay some of my bill.

i think it is unfair for me to have to pay for their calls when there are other means available. i am seriously considering telling them "you want to call me either pay the bill or get me a phone no more free ride"
