  • 16 year old got a ticket question?? 24400 (a)(2)?

    I live in California and got a ticket for 24400 (a) (2) essentially I didn't have my headlights on. I totally did this and deserved a ticket.

    However, I also had a girl in the car with me and it is illegal for me to drive her at this point because I haven't had my license long enough. The officer let me off for that, though.

    I have to go to court for this, so does the officer testify? I just want to pay the fine. If he does testify will he talk about me driving my friend? Or is he not supposed to since he let me off for it...

    And since this violation carries no points, do I just pay a fine then everything is done? Does insurance find out? Do I have to do traffic school to keep them from finding out?
