  • Lack of built in image stabilization a deal breaker on the Rebel XTi?

    I'm about to take the plunge and upgrade from P&S to a DSLR. The prime contender seems to be the Canon Rebel XTi. The thing I can't get over is that there's no Image Stabilization built in. When I check prices on lenses, it seems that to get a good IS lens, you pretty much have to double the cost. For example, the EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 is $182.14 on Amazon, while the EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS is $538. This trend seems to follow across the spectrum. What this means for someone with my budget is that I'm pretty much not going to be able to get the IS lenses. Is this a deal breaker? Should I get a Sony A100 or a Pentax K10D instead?

  • Hair salons less expensive than the mall?

    My wife goes to this place in the mall to get her hair cut and colored. She ends up spending about $150. I understand that she doesn't want to go to Great Clips or Fantastic Sams. So is there anywhere she can go that will still do a good job but not break the bank?
