Excel and Power Point all don't work. When I try to open any of them, or open anything with them, it says Power PC Applications are no longer supported and I don't know why. What does this mean and what do I do? Thanks for your help.

keeps telling me that there was a media test failure, check cable, possibly to do with with the PCI ethernet controller (I think) and basically won't switch on properly. Can I do anything, or do I have to take it to the shop?

I live in London, and I've always loved working with wood, but have never had much opportunity to pursue it further. Where can I go to learn the more decorative art of woodwork? I.e. Formal dining chairs and inlaid boxes rather than installing skirting boards? I know it's not as practical, but it's what I'm most interested in.

(e.g. an engineer for an oil company), the more you loved them the harder it would be to be with them, because they would be away so much. How true is this? And while all contributions are welcome, I'm sending this out especially to everyone with experience of this. Help! Thank you.

Well, its like what it says above, except that he's actually a couple of interviews away from being one. I just want to know what that life is like. He says that the companies told him that they are very considerate about letting employees stay fixed when they have families, but others I've spoken to say this just isn't what happens. Also, they said that what would happen would be him going out to the oil rigs for 1 or 2 weeks, and coming back for 1 or 2 etc. What's this like, both before and after kids?
