The screw suffered few metal-on-metal scrapping and blunted with little purchase left, it is surprising no one else asked of this, not the screwdriver but screw affixed on a netbook, it is at bottom-side and all other screws are fine and already out.

I don't have industrial lubricant oil, the screw is clasping bottom plastic to top keyboard, with electronics sandwiched in between. Need to do so to put in hard drive.

First off, I am not quite sure how to phrase this question. Nor do I have certainty for resolution of my problem. In the form of flashing in CyanogenMod 10.2 I don't have cell working but CyanogenMod 7 is very much fine after reflash, those work is done on an older Gingerbread phone. Now it is CM 7 but I want to load up CM 10.2 but I need to figure out this no IMEI, signal, baseand problem. I have read and not exactly groovy on XDA's Wiki on stuff I already know, and having done Gingerbread to CM Gingerbread and Jelly Bean to CM Jelly Bean fine goated me on to suspect I need to swap kernel somehow.

So first line: Is there such a pairing of correct [kernel, ROM]? That implies correct interface routing cell IMEI and other data.

Second line: Is that pairing have kernel split in two categorical versions along the Android Dessert (Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread) versus Android Snack line (ICS, Jelly Bean, Kit-Kat) In that case any ICS kernel works on Jelly Bean, right?

Third: unrelated, can I flash in Gapps from another device? Lack of Google Play bothers me. Or is there a "generic" signed bundle somewhere?

Fourth: How do I flash kernels? Can kernels be swapped up-down and sideways the way geeks swap ROMs?

Four.Fifth: Having CWM Recovery flashed is the danger of hard bricking behind me? Can I do retreat to a Gingerbread phone if somewhere I soft bricked in doing something?

I am assuming that it is no more serious than a broken bulb, how do I open and change the bulb? It is on the right-hand side, and what kind of bulb is it?

I need to do it because I'm trying to squeeze a leftover not defective GeForce 7950 GT OC into a 2nd hand eMachine with 300 watts I bought from a junk dealer; to do that, I'm going to squeeze out the card bay and use laptop drive, 300 is just few numbers above 290 not to mention all the old and OC parts pretty much invalidates PSU Calculators. I'm hoping to avoid getting 400 watt PSU replacements. Can a USB bus CD/DVD drive be replacing an internal drive that runs from IDE/SATA? IEEE 1394 is out, I have no such part.

Very strange that this happens, anyone can offer some help or explaination on this no sound issue? The video stream plays.

Now it is TCPMP 0.71 for Palm OS on PEG NX60/U with a 1 GB MS Pro Duo stick containing an MPEG, DivX also have this issue and I wonder if Sony's audio architecture is in fact deviating from Palm's.

I am asking because I have an old Clie PEG-NX60/U that would need to use external storage; and purely for storage and playback if that does make some difference in answer.

I installed SP2 immediately after a fresh XP setup on a reformatted blank hard drive yet USB 2.0 is not there, what gives? Did I miss something? It had USB 2.0 enabled once before the reinstall.

What are my options? I sometimes left lights on by mistake and drain battery in garage, I was told I have several options besides using a jumpstart cable drawing from others. What are the options; I know of a shop-fitted umbilical thing and portable UPS-like thing, what exactly are they called and how much would they cost? Are there other options I could go for?

Reviews like this still need some pinch of salt I know, but I'm more confused to begin with; according to the numbers my $20 cooling rig on an Athlon X2 3800+ 2 GHz blow the living crap off them or did I missing some arithmetic here?

Reused $18 Thermaltake R1 cooler using a $2 unknown brand thermal paste on a dual core CPU producing 29 celsius and 40 celsius in idle. I had no experience in reusing a cooler and end up spread too much thermal paste this time around. Basically I went for cheapest cooling component I could go.

I want to achieve it essentially the same effect as PDAs running XScales, I think I got the just of it on how it is done, undie the FSB. What is the safest values I could have gone: AMD Athlon X2 3800+ Socket 939 on an ECS RS480-M with 1 GB worth of DDR333.

GPU too, All-in-Wonder X800 GT 128 MB DDR3, but that I have no idea how to go about it.

Specifically, booting DOS under a virtualizing environment of XP as host.

Here is my situation: 2 LCDs, one of them being kinda old but less Amperage (call it be mon_1) the other one being something from a junk dealer working too but did not have power adapter (let it be mon_2); 2 AC/DC adapters, one being a perfectly 4 Amp guy from mon_1 but being used in mon_2 (let it be ac_1, the other one is from something else but I had to splice the cable and cross polarity, IT IS 1.2 AMP BUT USED WITH MON_1 THAT SHOULD TAKE 1.5 AMP (let the AC be ac_2).

They are in dual display configuration to a machine that runs GeForce 7600 and PSU of 400 watts, one of them need Analog-DVI adapter; somehow ac_2 is working with mon_1 even though the power grade is mismatched. So here is my question: is there going to be a problem in the long run to mon_1, mon_2, ac_1, ac_2, and/or computer if I keep using ac_2 with mon_1?

I knew easily how to compute 2D need, but I have in my back of mind wanting to figure 3D numbers. Recently I read the relation of 3D to 64/128/256/512... is similar to 2D to 1/2/4/8 instead of using it like GFX cache. Anyhow here is my concern.

I had only monitors going 1024x768 at max, I have no plan to upgrade those, is 128mb enough to use? Even for cards like 7800 or 6800.

Today's very rotten day, fried power supply and replacement got its cable stuck inside CPU fan, as a result from that temperature shot up to 115+ and emergency shutdown, now this very machine runs now but I wonder if the edge of it melted onto the board and if it still would run fine few months down the road?

The machine is Athlon 64 X2, heat management as far as I can tell is off, I did smell barbeque from it when it emergency powers off.

I killed 3 power supplies in a year, I am not quite sure how, but I would ask to avoid killing a 4th one because it's quite rotten day to have that. Here are the circumstances that I killed them, please list out all possible ways that I might or might not know:

1. First killing is to a stocked power supply that had been running now and then for 2.5 years, I suspect it is just mechanical fatigue.

2. Second killing is on the same PC, a replacement 400 watt supply since my Reset button is not convenient to reach I just turn off and back on I suspect that increased fatigue and made the supply lasted only 3 months.

3. Third killing is a 200 watt guy today, I suppose I should've seen it coming it powered Athlon 64 X2 but did have outages now and then and a GeForce 7 is just too much adding onto it. It sorta revs up now but have not even enough output powering my spare P2. Today had been an extremely rotten day with fan stuck et all.

There are few AGP video cards out there, I want to do my last AGP upgrade to replace an aging GeForce 5200.

The system is AMD Dual Core on a 1 gig RAM system; everything is low spec; I want a card that could play Command & Conquer 3 and 3D RTS games in all its visual, currently with that 5200 all visuals have to be tuned to minimum.

What is a good optimum AGP-based card for me to upgrade?

I am in the market for DDR, I have a PC2100 256 megs already but I am confused as to its density and since both the original machine and assembled Dual Core took it in their stride I wonder if that Dual Core machine actually can take high density.

Upon visual inspection of the aforementioned memory module, it fits extreme high density chip to a tee; the stick has only 4 chips, one side only, no name, not even on the chips or PCB. That guy shoved me this 3 yrs ago knowing I wanted a 256 megs PC2100 for a mobo with KM400.

I'm trying to put together an upgrade, currently unstable: running fine in Linux but Windows XP is not even installable with Blue Screen. Fanning the CPU running at about 40 celsius.

256 megs of PC2100 DDR 266 from an older AMD 2000+ machine, hopefully this is only thing wrong I do have half a mind to get DDR 400 probably 1GB in qty.

I experienced unstability before that prevent Windows from installing, coupled with low heat I suspect unstability again. I realized this is quite obsolete spec but hardcore gaming is not my aim and this question is quite advanced so I want some concrete answers or tidbits with reasons to back it up; not some teen's hotshot answer.

It is a used aftermarket copper heatsink, I know heatsinks can reused on same grade CPUs, what was the one cleaning out used and harden thermal paste?

I recently bought a laptop in a firesale for $50, the power supply the guy gave me to power this Panasonic is Dell in origin (19volt), and the PS unit is of higher voltage than the notebook yet I was not aware of this and the notebook (Pana Toughbook old P3, 15.6volt) runs fine for days and continue to do so, was there some tweak before hand or am I missing something? I thought voltages must match.

My bigger question is can I somehow do the same tweaking and use a mismatching PS to power an LCD I bought from a junk dealer? The $10 junk computer/composite LCD is working I verified that with a PS needed for another LCD so can't just use that.
