Feminists, are women playing into man's fantasies?
What is the need for female singers to be in shorts and bikinis? That is what sells, you say.
Sure, a woman is free to wear what she wants. But this is allowing somebody’s else’s perversion to do decide your dress code. This applies to most of women’s fashion ideas too.
Are you showing your cleavage or thighs to impress you your file female colleagues or ahem.. to attract male eyeballs?Your dressing is playing out a man’s fantasy and you call it freedom for yourself?
On the contrary, this is the ultimate subjugation - to let your thoughts and actions be controlled by others. And live in the delusion that you are doing it for yourself.
PS: Intelligent and logical answers welcome, not emotional outbursts.

Would you eat a dog?
Would you let another one eat your dog?
You can kill other animals for food, but won't allow your pet to be killed. Double standards?
8 AnswersPolls & Surveys6 days agoPet owners, Don't you deny your pets their mating needs?
Sex is the most basic instincts in nature. You are denying your pets this. You are denying a dog canine company. As much as you are fond of it, or it is fond of you, it’s natural instinct to mate makes it crave for its own species. This company is denied to your pets because of you. What do you have to say in defense?
2 AnswersOther - Pets1 week agoWhat do you think of my first poem?
I have a friend; I have another,
To two, I am brother,
Then there is a pair,
Who brought me into sun and air,
(parents)
She who bore the pain,
He did to sustain,
There is one who stands tall,
He is for me; He is for all,
(God)
For me are His rivers and roots,
Mountains and Mutes,
His love is mine,
A gift divine,
By them all, there is one,
That is me, the lucky one.
1 AnswerPoetry1 week agoWhat is your message for others as YA ends in a couple of days?
My message is:
Each one of you is so beautiful. Thank you so much for your answers.
There were so many intelligent and thought-provoking answers that many times I found it difficult to choose the best answer. Also, I learned much from questions other people asked.
Thanks also to those who gave skewed and rude answers. They helped in increasing my tolerance. In fact, eventually I began to appreciate their sense of humor and sarcasm.
Lastly, thanks to those who didn’t answer at all. They helped me tone down my expectations. I would ask my questions enthusiastically only to find very few answers or none at all. Life is like that too sometimes - your expectations are not met always...
So in one line my message is -
Thanks a lot, everybody.
You have all been helpful.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 week agoHow do we reduce the working woman's workload?
Working women woes... have to work in office and home too. Can't ignore the kid and family, but financial independence is important too. Not to forget career growth and job satisfaction.
What's the best way to balance all these?
6 AnswersGender Studies1 week agoWomen, what is the help you'd expect from others to reduce your workload?
Let's not restrict to getting men share your load. Your children could help with some chores too. Your parents and in-laws could pitch in too.
What help would you expect from family members to ease your workload?
5 AnswersFamily1 week agoWhat are some examples of feminist hypocrisy?
2 AnswersGender Studies1 week agoWhat's the fine line between flirting and harassment?
Mild coaxing is alright, but it can't be taken too far. How far is far?
Wearing revealing clothes, lipstick, showing cleavage is ok, but staring is not.
Tempting is ok, but getting tempted is not.
Flirting is ok, but force is not.Who defines what is acceptable and not?
Make-up, and revealing clothes are fine, but men mustn't react, or express their reactions.
You want the attention, but won't stand uninvited attention?
Isn't there a conflict somewhere?Do you sense a shade of hypocrisy here?
Compliments are welcome, but you object to some comments passed.... The same fine line...
You want to advertise your assets, but object to my thinking/saying 'swell boobs' or 'nice legs'...
Might there be a shade of hypocrisy here?
Who defines what is acceptable and not? Has this topic been discussed?
Feminists would say, "It's not society's right to dictate what I wear or how I sit or speak."
"It's my right what I wear or speak."
By the same argument, "Is it not my right what or speak?". I think she's got great breasts/thighs and choose to say it. (considering what's allowed where, etc.)
Has this topic been discussed? Has there never been a discussion about this before?
(Please share with me any info. or links you find.)
For example, commenting aloud in a social place is offensive, but who is to stop me from thinking what I do, and expressing my views in a forum like this. (How many of you are going to reply using abusive language, instead of typing an intelligent answer?)
8 AnswersGender Studies2 weeks agoDoes crime happen more when it is easier to commit?
Stealing is a crime...
Stealing a bundle of cash falling off the pocket of an unconscious drunk person is easier and a temptation too.
Rape is a crime...
Raping a scantily-clad, drunk woman in an isolated place is easier and perhaps a temptation too.
Do you see a similarity?
5 AnswersGender Studies2 weeks agoWomen, Is it worth sacrificing the next generation for the sake of your career?
Do careers take precedence over child-bearing or rearing?
8 AnswersGender Studies2 weeks agoWhat do the feminists have to say on this?
You may argue that Mother's milk can be done away with altogether....Alternative can be found to breast-feeding...
Maternal bonding is over-rated and can be done away with...
Nurses and others could give the early education... etc.
In today's age, mothers' milk may be sold over the internet too.
Or breast-pumps may be available to store it for later. (A mother's physical presence is not required.)
Will the result be the same?
Is there no difference between a baby reared mechanically by an indifferent, negligent nurse and one raised lovingly by a concerned mother or grandmother?
2 AnswersGender Studies2 weeks agoWhat are the disadvantages of breast-milk pumping?
Risk of infection, and loss of vitality are the minor disadvantages. Loss of intimacy is the biggest disadvantage, I see. The mother-child bonding is totally absent. Physical touch and cuddling also makes a difference to the babies growth, I'd imagine. Not to talk of the impact of the mother’s voice and touch.
Why even give birth to a baby if you can’t take proper care of it?
Or why even bother to pump out your milk, breast milk is available for sale in the internet. Or you have surrogate mothers to do the job for you. Do you think these are feasible options?
