  • What is the nutritional value of corn?

I have never liked corn and when I eat it I just swallow it with some of my drinks. Afterwards, I poop it out whole. Most people report corn kernels in their poop after eating corn. Does your body extract nutrients from the kernels even if you don't chew them? Does it when you do chew them? Thanks!

  • How to tell my Dad that I dont want to take care of Grandma anymore?

I need any advice I can get. Im just out of college and I have been living at home recently trading stock and saving up money to move out. Im doing pretty well. I have saved up almost $10,000, but since I donot have a w2 I cant really move out until I have well over $20,000 in savings, unless I have a day to day job. My parents are split, but both have said that I can stay until im ready to move out. My grandmother is 93 years old, and she needs daily elderly care. At her house there is TV with no remote, no internet, and she has dementia so mostly all she does is sleep and ask rhetorical and nonsensical questions. I didnt mind doing it at first, cooking cleaning and taking care of things around the house. Recently though, my inability to trade during the day has caused me to start losing money. Beyond that, I keep a regular news blog, and had an obsession with getting up to the minute news. I noticed myself becoming very depressed and almost suicidal because I was losing money helplessly, completely detached from what I felt was a comfortable daily schedule, and unable to talk to my Dad. I am still having trouble doing it. I want to tell him that because I have to spend everyday from 12-7 at her house, I forego eating breakfast washing and brushing my teeth in the morning because im trying to make my stock moves. I get very very very depressed by the time I have to leave, and then to sit in her house for 7 hours just makes it so that looking over my charts in the evening is a HUGE burden and no longer the fun stock picking adventure it used to be. I have a fear that my dad will make me move out if I tell him that I am being so negatively influenced by having to work with my grandma 40 hours a week, but that wont help anything. Just yesterday he came up to me and told me its so important that im in my grandma's life as she moves towards death, but honestly 40 hours a week? Im so lost and confused. I want my happiness and freedom back, but im not quite ready to move out on my own. My mom says that if I live with her then I must be at a job and not sitting around the house all day. When I trade carefully I can make 90-100$ everyday, and even on the bad days as long as im paying attention I dont lose that much. Its been hell recently with my missing so much because I am at her house trying to watch it from the phone and not the computer. Im sorry I wrote so much. I just wanted to give details. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get out of this mess? Maybe talk try to talk to my dad and reduce the amount of time. He thinks its ok because he pays me 100$ a week, but its hardly worth it. Any advice will help. Thanks!!

  • Hey athiests what are your political views.?

I saw a lot of stuff yesterday saying that athiests are smarter than religous people. I wound up making a statement about liberal athiests, which was probably just annoyance. I want to know who really is smarter, so would a few athiests be willing to state some of their political views? Who are you voting for.and.why?Thanks!!!

  • How do you think we should revamp the economy?

    A. Cut spending

    B. Create new programs which make it easier for American businesses to run smoothly

    C. Use taxpayer money for costly programs that may or may not creeate jobs.

Even simpler do you think that it should be american government, individual taxpayers, or companies and corporate regulation who accept the most responsibility for turning it around

  • Who thinks that our national security is affective as is?

The war in iraq was clearly our first step in the wrong direction. It was clear that our relatuonship with the ME would only.be hindered by two things. First thing would be embargos similar to the recent one in Iran in response to bad diplomacy which could have causes a fuel crises. Second thing is the ongoing war and strife which makes it harder for us to have ongoing relations. I agree completely that a fight for instilling democracy doesnt fall within the boundaries of solving either issue and makes matters worse. Now from here going forward what will be our ticket to positive relations? A. Doing nothing ( Obama) B. Continued Militaristic efforts (Perry/Santorum) C. Diplomatic efforts aimed at national security but not at instilling democratic value (Romney/Paul)

  • Do atheists study any religion at all?

Doesnt it seem like not studying religion at all takes away from the devices that can be used when considering history and the developing world? As well as death, overcoming adversity, amd good citizenship? Do athesits just not have these qualities about them and.doesnt that actually make them dumber?

  • Who are you voting for and why?

Im hung up on my vote this year. I had always been a liberal at heart but i feel like i agree more with the conservative views on smaller government and the economy. I respect Obama immensely for what hes had to indure trying to pass legislation through this house, but i also feel he has in some ways abused his powers. On the other end of that though i am socially liberal i believe in gay marriage and lean towards the left on the environmental and other issues. Its hard not to feel selfish either way. So im asking you who are you voting for and why? You may hate me, but im strung betweem Romney and Obama. I lived in Mass for awhile and know a lot of good things about him. He flip flops around on the social issues but i know hes a conservative. I also think Obama could deserve four more years to work things out...I mean bush got 4 more years to do nothing but destruction, so how could I not. I voted for Obama in 08.

  • Is the Hedonism Day/Night Pass worth it?

Headed back to Jamaica for a nice little vacation. Last time I was down there I didnt get to visit Negril because I was just there for a day on my way down to Cuba. Ill be staying this time for 5 nights in Negril and have heard a lot about the Hedonism II resort. I know I will not be staying there. Ive found a nice guesthouse with rental scooters, nice rooms, home cooked meals, and a space for relaxing, but I was thinking a lot about the nightlife and maybe trying to meet girls (lol im a loser but hey you never know). Im not looking to hit the party like a madman and am really looking for more laid back heady kind of vaca, but a night or two of intense partying would be fun. Ive read good and bad things about the resort. Has anyone been down there and got a day/night pass to party there? Im going down around Valentine's Day (still in hopes of meeting someone lol), since I figured there would probably be a lot of people there then. What do you think is it worth the 75-100$ for the day/night pass?

    Many Thanks!!
