5 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoTrying to access security measures from system preferences on a Mac?
Would like to set up security measures (FileVault) on a Mac, but it requires a user account password?? Where can I find this? If I set one up 3 years ago when I bought this computer, I have no recollection of it now.

2 AnswersCameras1 decade agoCopying files from my Compaq to a CD??
I am trying to copy some files (images) from my Compaq Computer to a CD. The computer usually copies these to some kind of temporary folder, and then from that folder to the CD. A bubble with text usually appears after copying to the temp folder. Clicking on that bubble takes you into the temp folder, and then you give the command to copy to the CD. But I just copied a large number of images to the temp folder, and the bubble did not appear. Now I don't know how to access the temp folder to start the actual transfer to the CD. Can you help? Thanks.

5 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoGeometric Impossibility?? I found this puzzle online ...?
... which has me, well, puzzled! The upper image shows 4 geometric shapes within a triangle, completely filling the space. The lower image shows the same four shapes within the same triangle, but not filling the entire space. How is this possible??? The combined surface area of the four shapes has to be constant, regardless of how they are arranged, right? What am I overlooking here? Is this some kind of trick??

5 AnswersBiology1 decade agoWall switches make a buzzing sound after installing energy-efficient bulbs in the overhead fixtures?
In my kitchen area I have 3 ceiling light fixtures, each of which takes 4 standard screw-in bulbs. Each fixgture is controlled by a separate dimmer switch on the wall. I just replaced the old bulbs with energy-saving bulbs, the kind that have a standard screw-in base but the actual bulb looks like a spiralled tube. Each bulb is 60 watts. My dimmer switches are now making a buzzing sound, not very loud but noticeable. Why? Is this a problem? What can/should I do about it?
