  • Install the Sims 3 onto laptop without CD drive?

My new Windows 8 laptop is super awesome, but has no CD, or DVD, drive. I have a 100% legal CD of the Sims 3 along with the code and everything, I have a 64 gb flash drive, I have a pretty good internet signal most of the time, and two different PCs with towers. Any ideas?

  • If Atlantis was real...?

I'm asking for PERSONAL beliefs, NOT a link to a wiki page.

So, if Atlantis the Lost City was/is real...

What REAL country would it be closest to (Turkey, Italy, ect.)? Why?

What would the people look like (Hair, skin, eyes, build, ect.)? Why?

What religion (if any) would be the most common practiced? Why?

What language would they speak? Why?

What would life have been before the sinking of Atlantis, culture, courtship, marriage age, ect?

Any other beliefs, or things that would be safe to assume?

  • Brother needs more serious therapy?

Okay, so both my little eight year old brother and myself go to counseling once ever two weeks. But it is more of a venting session, no real advice other than, "Are you SURE you don't want any more medicine?"

I am on a plethora of pills, while my brother is on no medicine. Three weeks ago, before I went on vacation, he was doing fine. His behavior was annoying, but normal for an eight year old. His night terrors had stopped, he never woke up crying and screaming anymore. He was happy and social, with a normal emotional and physical behavior patterns.

When I left, I got multiple texts that he was grounded again, he had stolen from Tim (only TRUE Father Figure he has ever had), Mom, Grandpa, and Elly (15-year-old sister) and then lied about it. A week into my vacation I got a message saying he was having his night terrors again. Apparently he was getting harder to control, unruly, disrespectful and would constantly shout, "I miss Ray!"

When I got back his night terrors stopped, but he is still acting up. I got back three days ago. I thought maybe he was just going through a mood, but then he reached into our fish tank when no one was looking and ATE my pet sucky fish.

He was supposed to tell Tim about it, saying he didn't think and it was a mistake. But he never told him and I brought it up with Brii (Tim's daughter) while I didn't notice him in the same room. (I am deaf in one ear and have 15% hearing in the other.) He got PISSED, and stormed up stairs and is STILL yelling at him!

Should he get some medicine? Or hypnosis to find the root of the problem?

Just a side note, Tim is NOT violent, just very shouty and insists that we need to THINK about everything.

On another side note, I feel HORRIBLE, because Jay (my brother) was supposed to bring it up to Tim on his OWN, take some responsibility, but I went and blew it because of my STUPID ears.

  • Sharp nails on a plane?

I've never been on a plane before, and I am going cross country in about a week. I've been reading about the ridiculous security and what I can and cannot bring, when something occured to me. My nails on both hands are sharpened to a VERY sharp point (like a needle), I do this simply because I can, and because in my opinion it looks pretty. My psychiatrist says so long as I don't plan to hurt myself or others it is a fine fashion statement. Would the secuirty plane people have a fit, my friend says they wouldn't let her have her needle point stilletos on the plane, so what about my nails?

  • Mentally Scarring, Physically Ill?

    First a little background info:

When I was little, my first cat Princess had a litter of kittens. My step father told me it was my fault we couldn't afford to keep them and feed them, then drowned the kittens in the bathtub and made me watch.

Five years later our dog Sammy got out and got pregnant, he beat her against the side of the house till she quit moving.

That bastard is now in prison for domestic abuse, child abuse, animal abuse, illegal substance possession, and manslaughter (MURDER that the court couldn't prove). My family is on the other side of the country, and I have had three years of counseling.

    Currently:

Even though my phsyciatrist has diagnosed me with Severe Bipolar Disorder/Manic Depressive Disorder, Depression, PTSD, and mild psycosis I have been doing alot better and taking my medicine properly. I am able to interact and maintain healthy relationships with family and friends.

My friend Nick was having his 18 birthday party, and I was invited. Nick has a HUGE family, and they all love lobster. They set up this huge boiler in the back yard and bent some coat hangers into the shape of tuning forks. They took the LIVE lobsters and put them on the tuning forks, hooking the tongs underneath the lobster's "armpits" and put the tail end of the lobster in the boiling water.

I don't care what the myths say, those creatures cried. Then they thrashed about on the holder until they slipped off, into the water.

Since then I have been avoiding meat, or anything warm because I get the impression that it might be alive. I have felt nauseous since the party almost a week ago, and I have killer headaches, I am having nightmares again, but I wake up crying but don't remember a thing.

Could those poor little lobsters have triggered something? How do I cope? I've stopped my medicine, it makes me cry.
