I'm tired of yahoo blowing up my phone every 30 seconds with alerts that I never asked for. I've been all through the other questions regarding this subject and none of them have helped. Does anybody know how to turn off these annoying and unwanted alerts?

My stepmother has a problem with the facebook slideshow viewer. She's getting a grey sort of see through screen where you can still see facebook in the background, but the picture won't pop up like it used to. Anyone have this problem and/or know how to fix this in Google Chrome?

My CPU just won't stop running at 100%. I've opened up the task manager, but can't see one process that is running over 50% at any time. I've run both malware and virus scans and nothing out of the ordinary. Anybody out there have any ideas on where to start tracking this down?

Every time I try to run scandisk, I get a message saying that "Windows can't check the disk while it's in use". And when I get to the task scheduler, I have no clue how to get scandisk into the scheduler. Why does it give you the option to "check now" if it can't do the task while the disk is in use!!?? How do I get this scandisk to run?????

We have a General Electric gas oven that won't light. I can see a glowing ember, but no flame. Anybody have any ideas as to what to look for that might not be working?

When you open the task manager, in the lower left hand corner it tells you how many processes are running. I realize that it depends on what you have downloaded onto your computer, but how many processes running is too many? My brother said one of the Geek Squad told him more than 50 is too many. When my computer is just turned on, I have 70 running. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop running Vista.

I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer that just won't start. It's been around 15 to 20 below here lately! Someone told me to fire up some charcoal, let them turn to embers and then slide that under the car to try and heat up the engine. Has anybody ever tried this? Is this safe for the truck?

It's too funny how people talk about the Exocist like it was a true story and not made up by Hollywood. As for the girl in the movie using a ouija board, I have no memory of that, anybody else remember her using that game in the movie?
