Do any gun makers still make 10-gauge shotguns?
I recall that these had a brief surge in popularity after steel shot became mandatory for waterfowl hunting. Are they still available?

I was passing through there on Christmas Eve 2012 when I noticed that the I-475 connector across the north side of town was undergoing some extensive reconstruction. Did that get completed?

Does it help you track the animals better?
If you do, you'd probably get a kick out of being where I am in northern Michigan. We've been getting the white stuff nearly every day since the week before Thanksgiving. Indeed, I thought the kids would have to do their Halloween trick-or-treating on dog sleds this year. Fortunately, it's mostly been the fluffy stuff instead of the wet. sloppy crap that bends shovels.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, or whatever you're celebrating.

That was some show Justin Tucker put on, gotta admit that.
2 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoNFL fans- What is the most likely end-of -season record for the Lions?
Their next four games are- AT Philadelphia, home against Baltimore, home against NY Giants, AT Minnesota.
Their current record is 7-5.
Will they be most likely to finish 11-5, 10-6, 9-7, 8-8, 7-9, 10-5-1,9-6-1, 8-7-1, 7-8-1, 9-5-2, 8-6-2, 7-7-2, 8-5-3, 7-6-3, or7-5-4? I'm guessing 9-7.
5 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoHave there ever been gas turbine-powered railroad locomotives?
This seems like a good idea to me. Since turbines can run on any flammable liquid, this could let the railroads switch fuel types as pricing conditions dictate. The generators don't care what turns them, right?
Of course, if you can see any drawbacks that I'm overlooking, please point them out.

We have some up north, enough that the ski resorts are opening the slopes this weekend.
2 AnswersDetroit8 years agoDoes anybody remember this novel?
It was out in the late 1970's. Here's as much of the plot as I can remember.
A French detective is attempting to uncover a plot to assassinate the prime minister of France. In the process, he discovers that the PM is about to make a trip to Moscow to sign a treaty which would, essentially, surrender France to the Soviet Union. So, using an anti-aircraft missile that he somehow confiscates from some Arab terrorists, he shoots down the PM's plane.
Does this sound familiar?

Also, which branches are most represented among the generals?

According to a website for a Class III dealer near where I live, the BATFE is considering dropping the requirement for people to get their CLEO to sign their purchase application paperwork. Is this true?
The site on which I saw this is www.leftiesinc.com.
ALSO, according to the site, the state legislature in Michigan is halfway to passing a bill to allow short-barreled rifles and shotguns. I just thought some folks might like to know that.

1 AnswerNew York City8 years agoWhat are some good, easy-to-assemble .22LR pistols?
My fingers are just a bit too clumsy for the Ruger Mark II and any variations thereof. Revolver suggestions are also welcome.
7 AnswersHunting8 years agoWould this be a legal gun modification?
Perhaps you've seen these Ruger Charger pistols, based on the 10/22 action but with a short barrel and no buttstock. Would it be legal to modify such a gun to look like a crudely cut-down 10/22? It would be for use as a movie prop gun.
On a related subject, does anyone know where I might be able to find a nickel-plated 12-gauge single-shot shotgun? Again, it's for prop use.
