  • Thai Recipe?: Gang Koa Koong?

Looked online and couldn't find recipe. Had this at local Thai restaurant and want to make it at home. It has shrimp, pineapple, tomato, Thai red curry, and coconut milk. Could make a stab at winging it, but would prefer an actual recipe if anyone is familiar with this dish and has a recipe. Thanks.

  • Monarchy or Republic?

I realize that this will possibly come off as just another silly question from "another stupid American", but... I notice the continuing discussion of whether Britain should remain a monarchy or become a republic. But is that truly the only choice? Could not the monarchy remain in a fashion that is titular and ceremonial only, while having a form of government that truly is a republic. Keep the sovereign as a symbol of national tradition and pride while still having a head of state who is elected by the populace directly as would be the two houses of Parliment? Something more akin, unless I'm mistaken, to what is found in Sweden and Japan? And please try to be kind if my question is too simplistic or even ignorant.

  • Reblooming Bearded Irises, Superstition?

In 2001 I planted some bearded Irises of the variety Superstition at my home in western Arkansas, zone 6b. Ever since, they have consistently rebloomed. Have blooms in late November and early May. No one else around me seems to have reblooms on their Irises. Are some varieties more prone to rebloom than others? Or is some element in the soil a factor? Just wondering if anyone knows. Thanks.

  • Problem with Webcam Chat Sites?

Have Cyberlink YouCam that came installed on my computer running Windows Vista. Have Adobe Flash Player up to date. Camera works great freestanding. Also works perfectly on Yahoo Messenger and Skype. However, if I'm at any other webcam chat site, I can see everyone else's videos just fine, but my own is either upside down and/or badly distorted. Any suggestions to remedy this problem? Thanks.

  • Ideas to cover up a closet?

I have just moved into a new apartment that has a six foot wide closet in the middle of one living room wall. The problem is that this wall is the best place for my 7 foot sofa. And I don't want to see the closet behind the sofa.

I was thinking of finding the longest sofa back table I can find to put behind the sofa. And then putting one, possibly even two, rice paper screen(s) on top of the sofa back table. This should cover most, if not all, of the closet right up to near the ceiling. Maybe I'd add a slender vase with some tall vegetation (maybe pussy willow branches) to break the monotony simply. Maybe put an uplight behind the screen to add ambient lighting. Does this sound like a tasteful solution? Any other suggestions?

Not worried about "losing" the closet as I'll use it to store luggage and other things not used frequently.

  • Have we lost the ability to write a proper sentence?

As I attempt to read the questions and answers here, I cringe. The misspellings. Lack of appropriate capitalization. Lack of punctuation. Horrible grammar. Incoherence. And a reliance upon text message abbreviations.

Is this really how people, especially young people, write now? And if so, why do you think this is?
