cause of automatically/abruptly interrupting games to return to windows vista?
Hi, I am using windows vista and every time I try to play a game outside windows environment (no matter its requirements) my computer interrupts the loading of the game and keeps returning me to the desktop while the game continues open in the line below. I click on it and for a brief moment I am in the game only to return to desktop once more. Does anybody know what could be the problem? Thank you in advance.

What does the phrase "It's a rum old business" mean. I am not a native English speaker and my dictionary doesn't have a definition of it. Thank you for your time in advance.
2 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoDo you find that internet consumes the time you used to spend in reading books?
I have found out that since I have had an internet connection in my house, I have started reading less and less. Now I only read in my way to work (not while driving of course, on the bus, Lol!). Thankfully my work is an hour away from my home and so I still manage to read a good portion, but previously I read like a book in one to three days and now it takes me some weeks. This is not good for my reading list. Am I getting lazy to prefer chatting about books I have already read, than discovering new ones or do you find it normal? Does it happen to you too?
9 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhich Gaskell book to read?
Hi! I have never read anything by Elizabeth Gaskell. I have seen only the "North and South" tv adaptation and I was thinking of reading her "Mary Barton" (as I knew already the plot of N&S) but a friend of mine said it was boring and better stick to "North and South". Which book do you suggest/liked better and why? If you liked a third book by her please mention it as well. Thank you!

My favorite book is Jane Eyre but Wuthering Heights is a close second. Which did you like more? (and if you have time) Why?

Has anyone read that novel? What was your opinion? Did you like it? Because I think that there aren't many people out there that know it.
I consider it her most mature novel, a thousand ways to say you are sorry in it, but still my favorite is Jane Eyre.
For those interested there is a radio show review for this book in:
