Over the summer, an African American man burned down African American churches to start a race war. Currently, one of the "popular" questions on this site is begging that the responsibility of terrorism be given to Caucasians because five Hispanics were among the dead in San Bernadino. My parents constantly make racist jokes, but so do my nonwhite friends. I try to avoid the entire topic altogether, but it seems such a senselessly integral part of modern American society. Why is this? What has any human being to gain from judging one supposéd "race" over another? We are all part of the same species. The only difference between us is years of culture and the amount of melanin in our skin.
