How difficult is it to learn military bugling?
I am a Civil War reenactor with no musical training, apart from vocal music. How difficult is it to lean to play a bugle (not trumpet) correctly for a military impression?

I live in the deep south and when I was a kid my dad used to give me sulfur and cream of tartar tablets\lozenges to repel ticks. They used to work so well, I started looking for them and they appear to have gone the way of the dodo. Does anyone know why? I appreciate it.
