  • I need help with temptation, please?

I work at the front end of a Wal-Mart store. Everytime I work when I get a fifteen minute break, I buy a candy bar because I'm there the entire day looking at them, start to crave them then give in purchase it and consume it. I hate that. I'm trying to lose weight and no matter how many times I tell myself not to buy it, I do. Any pointers?

  • Why am I not losing weight? Help me?

Hey there, a little about me. I'm 18 years old, I weigh 177 lbs, and my height is 5' 4". Unfortunetly I suffer from Crohn's Disease (I did not get the 'weight loss' symptom, I actually gained weight - about twenty pounds) I was on minor steroids for my condition and have been off them for about a year now, I was down to 155 lbs but I suddenly gained a bunch of weight (I was so sick, I barely ate anything because the pain was so bad I basically puked up anything I ate).

For about two months I've decided I wanted to lose weight. So I stopped drinking Coffee and pop everyday and replaced it with organic green tea. I never ate breakfast for years and now eat two pieces of peanut butter on toast in the morning.

I know it is bad to count calories, but I decided it might help out, so I basically started eating around 1500 calories daily, 1900 is the amount I need to maintain my weight. I also started working out for about 20-25 minutes a day, I'm now starting to do this about 2 times a day, but still no change. It has been a total of 2 months and I only lost 3 lbs. What is wrong with me?

I consulted my doctor on this and he is testing me for a B12 deficiency. I have yet to get the results back because I have another test coming up in April and he will go over both results at that time. Could that be the reason why I'm not losing weight?

By my calculations I should've lost about 7-10 lbs. Help?

  • My friend is having problems at work. Help?

She has been working with her company for about seven months now. At first it was good, she got a lot of hours, but as soon as January hit, her hours were cut severly. In the past two months she has only worked two shifts. She has full availability and yet she is getting way less (non-existent) hours then student workers who are only available for night shifts and weekends. Several times, (since her schedule is available online) she has had a 20 hour work week scheduled when the schedule is first calculated through a computer then a few hours later, she checks back on the site and all of her hours have been cut. No one else's hours are being cut except her's. She has asked on many occasions why her hours are being cut. Her managers just shrug and say, "Everyone's hours are getting cut," or "It's been slow lately,". She has gotten extremely frustrated with them. They never call her, but they only call her when she isn't even in town. When she complains about not getting called in they tell her they do, but she never answered. She tells them when she goes out of town so they don't call her, but they still do.

Anyways, in the past two months she's worked 8 hours. (She has to pay bills, rent, car insurance and gas). Basically she's been depending on her parents to pay these things. Our town is small and no one else is hiring. Is there a law against only giving associates so little of shifts, or what? Please helps! (By the way, we live in BC Canada)

  • Green Tea and weight loss?

I have been drinking Green Tea and eating healthily for about two weeks now. I had lost three pounds the first week and now I gained five. What happened? Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

  • What is wrong with me and my dreams? Unpleasant physical feelings?

    Dear Helpful Websurfers,

Okay, basically it happens about three or four times a week. I'm asleep, having a normal dream (whatever constitutes normalcy) and then something weird happens. For example, the one I had this morning:

I was walking through the halls of a school I had never seen before, it was large. I was making my way to return a set of keys I had previously used. The hallways were very busy with lots of people and I entered a new hallway, and there was nothing. I suddenly felt like, "Hey, this isn't right," and I turned to look behind me when all of a sudden, *this clenching feeling ran through out my body, like something was squeezing me really tightly starting from the core of my body outwards, I then "Woke up," but wasn't actually awake, I couldn't move as if I was paralysed and I was biting the side of my mouth but there was no pain. I had another of the aforementioned tight feeling. It wasn't a painful feeling, but rather and extremely unpleasant feeling, then I finally woke up. I get this feeling a lot.

I don't want a "Dream interpretation," because this feeling happens at all different moments of my dreams and I've already tried to analize any similarities between them, there isn't any. I just want to know why I have this tight feeling when you are not supposed to be able to feel anything.

    Please help, Sincerly Utterly confused!
