  • TBI to Carb swap?

    The question is at the end, the begining is all background. I have an 88 C1500. It currently has a TBI 5.7 350. The motor is now shot and I am gutting it and putting in a carbed turn key 383. This will no longer be a daily driver. I am also replacing the tranny and the rear end so that is not my biggest worries. I am ripping out all accessories (A/C, P/S, etc) This is the start of a 1/4 mile truck. What I am asking about is the fuel. Should I keep the stock fuel tank and put in a new fuel pump or get a fuel cell that is already set up? Your ideas? Thank you.
